Bon tricot

Gauge: 21 sts x 28 rows on larger needles in double seed st = 10 x 10 cm [4" x 4"] The center body pattern measures approx. 33-42-42 cm [13" - 16.5" - 16.5"] in width. Rib: * K 1, P 1 *, repeat from * - *. Double Seed Stitch (on an even number of sts): Row 1: * K 1, P 1 * Row 2: * K 1, P 1 * Row 3: * P 1, K 1 * Row 4: * P 1, K 1 * Repeat Rows 1 4. Bobble: Inc 1 st to 5 sts by knitting alternately 1 st in front and back of st. Knit 3 rows stockinette st over these 5 sts. Then dec sts (right side row): pass 2nd st over 1st st, pass 3rd st over 1st st, pass 4th st over 1st st, pass 5th st over 1st st. Pattern: See charts. Lines indicate the different sizes – Sizes M and L have the same center body and sleeve pattern. Avslutt = end. Body: Cast on 168-186-194 sts on larger circular needles; join and place a marker at the join. Knit 8 rows stockinette st (for rolled edge). Change to smaller circular needles - measure the piece from here. Knit 1-1-1 cm [3/8"] rib - see instructions above. Change to larger circular needles and K 1 row, increasing 82-112-108 sts evenly distributed on the row = 250-298-302 sts. On the next row establish pattern as follows: 7-3-4 sts double seed st - see instructions above, then knit Pattern 1 (111-143-143 sts), 14-6-8 sts double seed st, Pattern 1 (111-143-143 st), 7-3-4 sts double seed st. Put a marker in the center of the double seed st sts at each side (these are the sides). Continue with Pattern as established (repeat Pattern 1 a total of 4-4-5 times). At the same time when the piece measures 4-3-3 cm [1.5" - 1.25" - 1.25"] inc 1 st each side of each marker (4 incs) - knit the new sts into double seed st. Inc a total of 6-9-11 times every 4-3-3 cm [1.5" - 1.25" - 1.25"] = 274-334-346 sts on needles. When Pattern 1 has been repeated 4-4-5 times the piece measures approx. 29-29-36 cm [11⅜" - 11⅜" - 14⅛"]. Now put 12-10-16 sts at each side on a st holder for armhole. Front and back each = 125-157-157 sts. Put aside and knit sleeves. Sleeve: Cast on 50-58-62 sts on larger double-pointed needles; join and place a marker at the join. Knit 8 rows stockinette st (rolled edge). Change to smaller double pointed needles - measure the piece from here. Knit 1-1-1 cm [3/8"] rib. Change to larger double pointed needles and K 1 row, increasing 22-38-34 sts evenly distributed on the row = 72-96-96 sts. On the next row establish the pattern as follows: 5-1-1 sts double seed st, Pattern 3 (62-94-94 sts), 5-1-1 sts double seed st. Continue in pattern as established, and when the piece measures 6-6-6 cm [2-⅜"] inc 1 st each side of marker 8-11-14 times every 13-9-7 rows = 88-118-124 sts - knit the new sts into double seed as you go along. When Pattern 3 has been repeated 6-6-6 times the piece measures approx. 43-43-43 cm [16-⅞"]. Now put 6-5-8 sts each side of marker on a st holder = 76-108-108 sts on needles. Yoke: Put the sleeves in on the same circular needles as Body where sts have been put on st holders for armholes = 402-530-530 sts on needles. Put a marker in transition between the sleeve and Body = 4 markers. Establish the pattern as follows: Pattern 5 (26 sts) knit at each transition between sleeve and body (13 sts each side of the marker), Pattern 2 (99-131-131 sts) knit over Body and Pattern 4 (50-82-82 sts) knit over the sleeve. The raglan shaping is shown on the charts. NOTE: on Sizes M + L ignore the decreases shown for Size S – continue the pattern. After Pattern 2 and Pattern 4 are complete, 154-154-154 sts remain on needles. The piece measures approx. 50-57-64 cm [19.25" - 22.5" - 25.25"] up to shoulders. Neck: = 154-154-154 sts. Knit Pattern 6 one time over all sts for the neck - place Pattern 6 as follows: Arrow A on the chart is the center front and center back and Arrow B is the center of the shoulder. On the last row of Pattern 6 dec 62-62-62 sts evenly distributed on the row = 92-92-92 sts. Change to smaller circular needles and knit rib for 2 cm [0.75"], change to larger circular needles and knit 8 rows stockinette st, bind off. Assembly: Sew underarm sts from st holders – use Kitchener st. |
