Pattern 170-21 I don't understand the crochet tip On every dc round replace first dc with ch 3, finish 1 sl st in first ch. I'm a beginner. Thanks

Dear Marie, the crochet tip explains how the round starts and ends. When working dc (in US terms), you need to replace the first dc (work instead of the dc) 3 chain stitches. At the end of the round, you work 1 slip stitch in the third of these chain stitches. Happy crocheting!

Hi, Just wanting to double check if you need 150g of the red colour to make this placemat? It seems a bit too much for a single placemat on a diameter of 22 cm. Thank you!

Dear Adila, yarn requirement is correct, remember to check the crochet tension. Happy crocheting!

Buongiorno!

Buon lavoro!

CROCHET INFO: ROUNDS WITH DC: Beg every dc round with ch 3, finish with 1 sl st in 3rd ch from beg of round (these ch are not counted in no of dc). ROUNDS WITH SC: Beg every round with sc with 1 ch and finish with 1 sl st in ch from beg of round. CROCHET SC TOG: Insert hook in first sc and pull yarn through, insert hook in next sc and pull yarn through, make a YO and pull yarn through all 3 loops on hook. COLOR CHANGE: To get a nice transition between the color changes, work last sl st on round with the new color as follows: Insert hook in last ch from beg of round, get the new yarn, make a YO with the new color and pull it through st on hook. REVERSE CROCHET: Work as sc but backwards. I.e. crochet around from left to right ---------------------------------------------------------- TABLE COASTER: Worked in the round. Work 4 ch on hook size 3 mm / C with red and form a ring with 1 sl st in first ch. ROUND 1: READ CROCHET INFO! Work 12 dc in ch-ring. ROUND 2: Work 2 dc in every dc = 24 dc. ROUND 3: * 2 dc in first dc, 1 dc in next dc *, repeat from *-* the entire round = 36 dc. REMEMBER THE CROCHET GAUGE! ROUND 4: * 2 dc in first dc, 1 dc in each of the next 2 dc *, repeat from *-* the entire round = 48 dc.
