The photo for 59-23 shows a high, round neck. But the pattern is written for a V-neck. I have already knit LUCA, which has a V-neck. Is there a similar pattern with a round neck?

Dear Holly, please find all our patterns for vests & tops for children with round neck here. Happy knitting!

Hi please could you explain back neck decrease. If I cast off center stitches should I work the shoulder in 2 parts. Thanks
10.05.2024 - 11:10DROPS Design answered:
Dear Maggie, that's correct, after you have cast off the middle stitches for neck you will finish each shoulder separately and at the same time cast off new stitches at the beg of every row from neck (from RS on right front piece/from WS on left front piece) and then cast for shoulders at the beg of every row from armhole (from WS on right front piece/from RS on left front piece). Happy knitting!

Thank you so much for your reply. Can now continue with the armhole. That has clarified the instructions. I love this design. It's like fair-isle without the stranding. I love a challenge. Also my first garment with a circular needle. Never tried before and I'm 73 . Best Wishes Appreciate the free patterns

Hi sorry another question about arm hole shaping. Is there a row in between without shaping. As it says every other row . Thanks
30.04.2024 - 09:38DROPS Design answered:
Dear Maggie, you cast off the stitches for armhole at the beg of each row on each side, this means for example when you cast off 3 sts 2 times, cast off 3 stitches at the beginning of next 4 rows (= 3 sts 2 times from RS + 3 sts 2 times from WS). Happy knitting!

Hi Please could you explain in more detail the armhole shaping. Are the cast offs done at beginning of right side row then beginning of wrong side row.
28.04.2024 - 17:31DROPS Design answered:
Dear Maggie, yes, the cast offs are done at the beiginning of the rows. Happy Knitting!
