Can I knit this pattern in 4ply If so would I changed needle sizes? or do I just knit a larger size?

Dear Mrs Beggs, as long as you get the correct tension in both width and height, ie 24 sts x 32 rows in stocking stitch and coloured pattern, then it might work. Happy knitting!

I was wondering whether you could not perhaps offer your patterns as downloadable pdf's? It would really save a lot of time. I LOVE your patterns! Not a single one I would not like to wear. Thank you for high quality, chic patterns!

Dear Anita, thank you very much. You can print our patterns with the help of a virtual printer, so that you can then save them as a pdf. Happy knitting!

GARTER ST, in the round: K 1 round, P 1 round. PATTERN: See diagram M.1 to M.4. The diagram show the pattern from the RS and the entire pattern is worked in stockinette st. Note! The diagram shows the color combination of the original pattern. If you chose different colors, it is a good idea to add your colors to the diagram in order to keep track. KNITTING TIPS: When working M.4,1 st at the end of row doesn’t fit into pattern. Work this st as if it was the first st in the next pattern row in order to make the pattern identical on both front pieces. BUTTONHOLE: Bind off for buttonholes as follows: bind off 2 P sts and cast on 2 new sts on return row. Place the top buttonhole in the last P section before neckline. ------------------------------------------------------------------ JACKET: Worked back and forth on circular needle from mid front. Long or short sleeves. Cast on 238-262-286-314-346-386 sts (includes 2 edge sts towards mid front each side) on circular needle size 2.5 mm / US 1 with light gray Alpaca or your choice of base color. K 1 row from WS and continue in rib as follows from RS: 2 garter sts, * K2, P2 *, repeat from *-* and finish with K2 and 2 garter sts. When rib measures 5-5-5-5-6-6 cm / 2''-2''-2''-2''-2 3/8''-2 3/8'' / 2"-2"-2"-2"-2⅜"-2⅜" change to circular needle size 3 mm / US 2½ and K 1 row, at the same time dec 61-61-73-77-85-101 sts evenly = 177-201-213-237-261-285 sts. P 1 row from WS and now continue as follows: 2 garter sts, M.1A repeated across the row until 7 sts remain, work these as follows: M.1B and 2 garter sts. REMEMBER THE GAUGE! After 1 vertical repeat of M.1 K 1 row from RS with light gray or your choice of base color. Insert 1 marker each side, 45-51-54-60-66-72 sts from mid front (= mid side), back piece = 87-99-105-117-129-141 sts. P 1 row from WS with base color and now continue as follows: 2 garter sts, M.2A repeated across the row until 7 sts remain, work these as follows: M.2B and 2 garter sts. Continue like this until piece measures 25-26-27-28-29-30 cm / 9¾''-10¼''-10 5/8''-11''-11 3/8''-11¾''. K 1 row from RS with the base color, at the same time bind off 12 sts each side (i.e. 6 sts on each side of both markers) = 153-177-189-213-237-261 sts. Put piece aside and knit the sleeves. LONG SLEEVE: Worked in the round on double pointed needles. Cast on 76-76-80-84-88-92 sts on double pointed needles size 2.5 mm / US 1 with light gray Alpaca or your choice of base color. K 1 round and continue in rib, K1/P1. When rib measures 4 cm / 1½'' change to double pointed needles size 3 mm / US 2½. K 1 round, at the same time dec 20-20-22-24-26-26 sts evenly on round = 56-56-58-60-62-66 sts. K 1 round and now continue in M.3. After 1 vertical repeat of M.3 K 1 round with light gray or your choice of base color, at the same time inc 4-4-2-0-4-0 sts evenly = 60-60-60-60-66-66 sts. Insert a marker at beg of round = mid under arm. K 1 round and now continue in M.2. At the same time when piece measures 9-9-9-12-12-12 cm / 3½"-3½"-3½"-4¾"-4¾"-4¾" inc 1 st on both sides of marker on every 4-3.5-3-2-2-2 cm / 1½''-1¼''-1 1/8''-3/4''-3/4''-3/4'' a total of 10-11-13-16-16-17 times = 80-82-86-92-98-100 sts. Incorporate inc sts in pattern as you go along. When piece measures 48-48-47-47-47-47 cm / 19''-19''-18½''-18½''-18½''-18½'' (Note! Less on the larger sizes because of wider shoulders) K 1 round with base color, at the same time bind off 12 sts mid under sleeve (i.e. 6 sts on each side of marker) = 68-70-74-80-86-88 sts. Put piece aside and knit the other sleeve. SHORT SLEEVE: Cast on 80-82-86-92-98-100 sts on double pointed needles size 2.5 mm / US 1 with light gray Alpaca or your choice of base color. Insert a marker at beg of round (= mid under arm). Work 6 rows garter st – see above. Change to double pointed needles size 3 mm / US 2½. K 1 round, at the same time bind off 12 sts mid under sleeve (i.e. 6 sts on each side of marker) = 68-70-74-80-86-88 sts. Put piece aside and knit the other sleeve. YOKE: Slip sleeves in on the same circular needle as body piece where bind off for armholes = 289-317-337-373-409-437 sts. K 1 row from RS with light gray or your choice of base color, at the same time dec 4-12-12-8-4-12 sts evenly = 285-305-325-365-405-425 sts. P 1 row from WS. Now see Knitting tip! Continue as follows: 2 garter sts, M.4 (see diagram for your size) repeated across the row until 3 sts remain, work these as follows: 1 st like first st in pattern, 2 garter sts. Continue in pattern and decreases as per M.4. After M.4 (see arrow for your size) there are 117-125-133-131-145-152 sts on round. K 1 row from RS with light gray or your choice of base color, at the same time bind off the 2 garter sts each side + dec 10-16-22-16-28-29 sts evenly on row = 103-105-107-111-113-119 sts. Put piece aside. LEFT FRONT BAND: Pick up 145-153-161-169-173-181 sts inside 2 edge sts on needle size 2.5 mm / US 1 with light gray or your choice of base color along left front piece K 1 row from WS, K 1 row from RS and P 1 row from WS. Continue in rib as follows (as seen from RS): 2 garter sts, * K2, P2 *, repeat from *-* until 3 sts remain, work these as follows: K2 and 1 edge st. Continue like this until rib measures approx 4 to 6 cm / 1½"-2 3/8''. Bind off loosely in rib RIGHT FRONT BAND: Like left front band, but after approx 2 to 3 cm / 3/4"-1'' bind off for buttonholes as follows: work row to where pattern on yoke begins, and bind off for 4 to 5 buttonholes – see above – evenly towards neckline. Complete front band as described for left front band. NECKLINE: Slip sts from yoke on double pointed needles size 2.5 mm / US 1 and pick up 10-10-12-12-14-14 sts inside 1 edge st at the top of each front band = 123-125-131-135-141-147 sts. Work 35-35-37-37-39-39 sts from mid front with light gray or your choice of base color. Insert a marker, this is now the beg of round. Continue as follows: K 53-55-57-61-63-69 sts, turn piece and K 58-60-62-66-68-74 sts on next row. Turn piece and K 63-65-67-71-73-79 sts, turn piece and K 68-70-72-76-78-84 sts. Turn piece and K 73-75-77-81-83-89 sts, turn piece and K all sts back to mid front. Turn piece, work 3 rows garter st back and forth on all sts, at the same time dec 6-6-8-8-10-10 sts evenly = 117-119-123-127-131-137 sts. Bind off loosely. ASSEMBLY: Sew openings under arms.
