Bonjour J’aurai aimé réaliser le modèle Drops 115-16 cependant la laine puddle n.existe plus et l.alternative Drops Wicht non plus. Pouvez vous me conseiller deux gris( clair et foncé) pour les remplacer ? D’avance merci. Madame Guével

What yarn can be substituted for Eskimo?
15.03.2020 - 22:56DROPS Design answered:
Dear Joanne, you can substitute the Eskimo yarn with the other yarn in its yarn group E, that is the DROPS Andes yarn., or you can use other yarns doubled, tripled up, or combination of our other yarns, that will give the same knitting tension / gauge as the DROPS Eskimo. Please always make a swatch and check. Happy Crafting!

Felted DROPS bag in ”Snow” and ”Puddel”.
DROPS 115-26 |
|
BAG: Piece worked in 2 parts, sewn tog afterwards. FRONT PIECE: Cast on 44 sts on needle size 9 mm / US 13 with Snow. Work stockinette st back and forth on needle, AT THE SAME TIME cast on new sts at the end of every row each side: 3 sts 2 times, 2 sts 2 times and 1 st 2 times = a total of 68 sts. REMEMBER THE GAUGE! Continue in stockinette st until piece measures 35 cm / 13¾". On next row dec 1 st each side, and repeat the dec on every 7 cm / 2¾" a total of 3 times = 62 sts. When piece measures 54 cm / 21¼" bind off the middle 24 sts and slip the remaining 19 sts each side on separate stitch holders. BACK PIECE: Cast on and work like front piece, but when piece measures 54 cm / 21¼" work next row as follows: Slip the first 19 sts on a stitch holder, bind off 3 sts, work 21 sts and slip the last 19 sts on a stitch holder. Work next row as follows: bind off 3 sts = 18 sts left on needle for flap. Work stockinette st back and forth on these 18 sts until flap measures 32 cm / 12½". On next row bind off the middle 4 sts for buttonhole, and cast on 4 new sts over bind off sts on next row. Continue until flap measures a total of 38 cm / 15", bind off. ASSEMBLY: Sew front piece to back piece in outer loops of sts – beg by stitch holders on one side and finish by stitch holders on the other side. STRAP: Slip the 38 sts from stitch holders on one side back on needle size 9 mm / US 13. Insert a marker – now measure piece from here! Work stockinette st back and forth on needle with Snow, AT THE SAME TIME dec at the beg of every row each side: 3 sts 1 time and 2 sts 2 times, then at the beg of every other row each side: 1 sts 4 times = 16 sts left on needle. Continue until strap measures 70 cm / 27½" from marker, bind off. Slip the 38 sts from stitch holders on the other side back on needle size 9 mm / US 13 and work this strap in the same way. Sew the 2 straps tog at the top. CROCHET BORDER: Crochet with 1 thread Puddel of each color (= 2 threads) on crochet hook size 9 mm / M/13 round the opening, incl flap, and round strap as follows: 1 sc in first st, * 1 ch (pull this approx 3 cm / 1⅛" long), skip 1 cm / ⅜", 1 sc in next st *, repeat from *-* and finish with 1 sl st in first st on round. FELTING: Wash bag in the washing machine with a detergent free of enzymes and optical bleach. Wash at 40C/104F with normal spin, but without pre-wash. After wash shape the bag whilst still wet and leave to dry. At subsequent washes, wash bag at a wool programme. Sew on button. AFTER FELTING: If the piece is not felted enough and is too big: Wash the piece one more time in the washing machine while it is still wet add a terry towel that measures approx. 50 x 70 cm = 19¾" x 27½" - NOTE: Do not use a short program. If the piece has been felted too much and is too small: While the piece is still wet stretch it to the correct measurements, if the piece is dry, make sure to soak it first. Remember: All subsequent washes are as a normal wool garment. |
