Buon lavoro!

May I know how thick is the yarn or what type is that? It does not look like a chunky yarn. Is it sports weight? From Australia

Dear Kellysoo, you will find any relevant informations about the yarn clicking on its shadecard and remember your DROPS store will help you even per mail or telephone if required. Happy knitting!

HEEL DECREASES: ROW 1(= RS): Work row until 4-4-5 sts remain, K2 tog into back of loop, turn piece. ROW 2 (= WS): Work row until 4-4-5 sts remain, P2 tog, turn piece. ROW 3: Work row until 3-3-4 sts remain, K2 tog into back of loop, turn piece. ROW 4: Work row until 3-3-4 sts remain, P2 tog, turn piece. Continue dec like this with 1 less st between each dec until 6 sts remain on needle. ---------------------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------------------- SOCK: Worked in the round on double pointed needles. Loosely cast on 24-24-30 sts on double pointed needles size 8 mm / US 11 with Snow. Insert a marker at beg of round. K 1 round and continue in rib, K3/P3, for 6 cm / 2⅜". Now K 1 round, AT THE SAME TIME dec 2-0-4 sts evenly = 22-24-26 st. Continue in stockinette st. REMEMBER THE KNITTING GAUGE! When piece measures 12-14-16 cm / 4¾"-5½"-6¼" keep the first 12-12-14 sts on needle for heel and slip the last 10-12-12 sts on a stitch holder (= mid upper foot). Work stockinette st back and forth on heel sts for 5-6-7 cm / 2"-2⅜"-2¾". Insert a marker in piece. Now dec for heel – see above. After heel dec pick up 6-7-8 sts on each side of heel and slip the 10-12-12 sts from stitch holder back on needle = 28-32-34 sts. Continue in stockinette st in the round, AT THE SAME TIME dec each side as follows: P tog the last 2 sts before and P tog the first 2 sts after the 10-12-12 sts mid upper foot, and repeat the dec on every other round 4-4-3 times = 20-24-28 sts. When piece measures 19-20-22 cm / 7½"-8"-8¾" from marker on heel (approx 3-4-5 cm / 1⅛"-1½"-2" remain) insert a marker each side with 10-12-14 sts on upper foot and 10-12-14 sts under foot. Now dec for toe on each side of both markers as follows – beg 3 sts before marker: K2 tog, K2 (marker sits between these 2 sts), K2 tog into back of loop. Repeat the dec on every other round 3 times and then on every round 0-1-2 times = 8 sts left on needle. Cut the thread, pull through remaining sts and fasten. |
