Knitted cover for lantern (0-1003)

In this video we show how to knit a cover for lantern. You will also need to read the pattern to be able to follow. We have already cast on 32 sts (small band) and worked 1 ridge in GARTER ST, we start the video at ROW 1 – RIGHT LACE EDGE. We have also put two markers to distinguish RIGHT LACE EDGE, chart A.1 and LEFT LACE EDGE.

How to knit broken moss stitch and the loop in DROPS 189-18

In this DROPS video we show how to knit broken moss stich (1), the beginning and end of each rapport (1-4 round), how to cast on 20 new stitches to the in-laid loop, bind off and how to sew the bind-off edge together. We use smaller stitch numbers what it says in the pattern. We have already knitted 2 rapports (= 8 rounds) of broken moss stitches. How to work a spiral pot holder

In this DROPS video we show how we work a spiral pot holder, this technique is used in the pot holder Betty in DROPS 147-30. We show how to cast on 2 stiches and knit row 1-21, then we show row 91-98 where we on row 94 show how to pick up the outermost stitch in front loop from 1st row, knit the first stitch from left needle, pass the new stitch over. When it is worked to the marker (from row 90), we show the 1st decrease and the last decrease (knit 2 stitch together) and at the end we show how to work the loop. The pot holder Betty is worked in DROPS Big Delight, but in the video we use a thicker yarn; DROPS Snow. You also need to read the pattern as well as watch the video. Knitted strap.

In this DROPS video we show how to work a strap which blends into the towel. Cast on X number sts (in this video we have cast on 18 sts). How to work the beginning of the bookmark in DROPS Extra 0-1576

In this DROPS video we show how we start working the mouse head to the bookmark “Library Mouse“ in DROPS Extra 0-1576. We have already cast on 4 stitches and divided these stitches between 4 needles. How to work the ear to the bookmark in DROPS Extra 0-1576

In this DROPS video we show how to work the ear to the bookmark “Library Mouse“ in DROPS Extra 0-1576. Work like this: * Knit 1, 1 yarn over *, work from *-* in the same stitch until you have 15 stitches for the ear. Work short rows back and forth over these stitches as follows: Turn, purl from the wrong side until there is 1 stitch left, turn, tighten the strand, knit from the right side until there is 1 stitch left, turn, tighten the strand, purl from the wrong side until there are 2 stitches left turn, tighten the strand, knit from the right side until there are 2 stitches left, turn. Continue like this back and forth until there are 5 stitches left on each side, turn, purl to the end of the row from the wrong side, turn bind off with knit from the right side, using a double strand and, to avoid the bind-off edge being tight, make 1 yarn over after every 2nd stitch at the same time as you bind off (yarn overs bind off as normal stitches) = 1 stitch left. Continue as described in the text. This bookmark is worked in DROPS Alpaca, but in the video, we work with a thicker yarn; DROPS Snow. How to work the head together to the bookmark in DROPS Extra 0-1576

In this DROPS video we show how to work the head together to the bookmark “Library Mouse“ in DROPS Extra 0-1576. Fill the head with wadding. Knit the first 6 stitches, then divide the stitches between 2 needles, with 12 stitches both on top and underneath the head. Knit 1 stitch from the top together with 1 stitch from underneath the head until all the stitches are knitted together = 12 stitches. Then knit up 1 stitch underneath each of these 12 stitches = 24 stitches. Cut the strand. Change color and divide the 24 stitches on 4 needles and continue working after the description.
