In this DROPS video we show you how to work the wrist warmers in DROPS 167-9. We have another sts no. in the video, but we show how to work chart A.1, A.2 and A.X. We show round 1-14, round 15-17 is the same as round 1-3 and the edge (A.X) at the end, is the same as round 4-7. Bei dem Film kann man die Enden der Runden nicht richtig erkennen. Das Diagramm hilft gerade am Anfang und Ende der RD auch nicht. Liebe Frau Melchior, bei der 3. Rd häkeln Sie so: 4 Lm (= A.1 + 1 Lm), 1 Stb um den ersten Lm-Bogen, *2 Lm, 1 Stb um den nächsten Lm-Bogen*, von *-* bis Rd-Ende wdh (= 11 x insgesamt = 11 Bögen mit je 2 LM), und dann mit 1 Lm und 1 Kett-M in 3. Lm des Rd-Beginns enden = jetzt haben Sie 11 Lm-Bögen (mit je 2 Lm) und 2 Lm (1 Lm nach A.1 und 1 Lm vor A.1, dh vor dem Kett-M.).

On very first round, you will crochet 5 dc over 6 ch, ie skip every 6th ch - working that will allow an elastic edge. Happy crocheting!

In this DROPS video we show you how to work a wrist warmer. We have already worked 40 chain stitch (ch) and formed a ring with 1 slip stitch (sl st) in first ch. We start video working ch 4, then 1 st in each st as follows: 1 round with treble crochet (tr), 1 round of double crochet (sc), 1 round with tr, 1 round with sc and 1 round tr. (crochet tip: Replace first tr on round with 4 ch and first sc with 1 ch. Finish each round with 1 sl st in first tr/sc from beg of round). Change color and crochet 1 round with sc. In this DROPS video we how to make 3 strands out of 1 single strand from a ball of yarn. 1. Make a simple loop (like the loop worked when you begin any crochet project) and pull it to approx. 2-3 cm = ¾"-1⅛" in length. 2. Thread the strand from the skein through this loop, creating a new loop of approx. 40-50 cm = 15¾"-19¾". 3. Lay this loop alongside the working strand, so 1 strand becomes 3 strands. 4. Knit or crochet using these 3 strands until there is approx. 2 cm = ¾" left. Repeat points 2 to 4.

In this DROPS video we show you how to join 2 pieces together (A and B), then binding off with an I-cord. Place all the stitches from A and B on the same needle, so that every second stitch on the needle belongs to A and B. We bind off with I-cord as follows: - Cast on 3 stitches onto the right needle. Slip the 3 stitches from the right needle onto the left needle with the working strand now situated 3 stitches in on the left needle. - ROW 1 (= right side): Knit 2, knit 3 twisted together (i.e., 1 stitch from the front piece and 1 stitch from the back piece is decreased). Slip 3 stitches from the right needle back onto the left needle. Do not turn (working like this tightens the working strand so the piece forms a small tube). - Repeat ROW 1 until there are 3 stitches left. Bind off and fasten all strands.

In this DROPS video we show you how to work a textured edge on the right side of the piece. We have already worked a section of stockinette stitch in the round and begin the video by showing you how to pick up stitches from the wrong side as follows: Find the stitch which lies 2 rounds below the next stitch on the needle, pick up this stitch in the top loop (from the wrong side) and place it on the left needle.
