How to crochet the wrist warmers in DROPS 167-9

In this DROPS video we show you how to crochet the Troy wrist warmers in DROPS 167-9. We have another no of stitches in the video, but we show how to crochet the chart A.1, A.2 and A.X. We show round 1-14, round 15-17 is the same as round 1-3 and the edge (A.X) at the end, is the same as round 4-7.

These wrist warmers are made in DROPS Cotton Viscose, but in the video we crochet with a thicker yarn, DROPS Snow.

You must read the pattern and look at the charts to be able to follow. You’ll find the pattern by clicking on the pictures below.

Ich verstehe die 3 RD nicht. Ich komme nicht auf 11 Bögen. Ich komme immer auf 12 oder 13. Was heisst 11 Bögen und 2 Luftmassen? Das habe ich so noch nie bei einer Anleitung gelesen. Bei dem Film kann man die Enden der Runden nicht richtig erkennen. Das Diagramm hilft gerade am Anfang und Ende der RD auch nicht. Ich bin ratlos, hatte noch nie so Schwierigkeiten mit einer Anleitung. LG Birgit

Liebe Frau Melchior, bei der 3. Rd häkeln Sie so: 4 Lm (= A.1 + 1 Lm), 1 Stb um den ersten Lm-Bogen, *2 Lm, 1 Stb um den nächsten Lm-Bogen*, von *-* bis Rd-Ende wdh (= 11 x insgesamt = 11 Bögen mit je 2 LM), und dann mit 1 Lm und 1 Kett-M in 3. Lm des Rd-Beginns enden = jetzt haben Sie 11 Lm-Bögen (mit je 2 Lm) und 2 Lm (1 Lm nach A.1 und 1 Lm vor A.1, dh vor dem Kett-M.).

On very first round, you will crochet 5 dc over 6 ch, ie skip every 6th ch - working that will allow an elastic edge. Happy crocheting!

In this DROPS video we show you how to crochet the Winter Fanfare Wrist Warmer in DROPS 108-25. We have already crocheted 40 chain stitch (ch) and formed a ring with 1 slip stitch (sl st) in first ch. We start video crocheting 4 ch, then 1 st in each st as follows: 1 round with double treble crochet (dtr), 1 round of double crochet (dc), 1 round with dtr, 1 round with dc and 1 round dtr. The stitches on top of the foot are placed on a thread, while the stitches at the back are kept on the needles and the heel is worked as follows (the heel extends under the foot): 1) The heel is worked back and forth across the heel-stitches to achieve the correct height. For this type of heel, the length reaches midway under the heel. 2) Next, the heel is knitted together beneath the foot. 3) The sock is then continued in the round, with stitches picked up along both sides of the heel length, working towards the toe. 4) This heel creates a square shape, which is why this type of heel is known as a square heel.

In this DROPS video, we show you how to knit a sock with a gusset heel - arguably the most common method for working a heel. To begin, the stitches on top of the foot are placed on a thread, while the stitches at the back are kept on the needles and the heel is worked as follows: 1) The heel is first worked in height, back and forth across the heel-stitches. 2) Next, the bottom of the heel is worked to the required width and length by working short rows and decreasing stitches. 3) Once this step is completed, continue knitting in the round across all stitches, knitting up stitches on both sides of the heel (along the length). 4) The width and shape of the foot is worked by decreasing stitches on both sides, forming a small gusset heel – that is why this type of heel is known as a gusset heel.
