Pozdrawiamy!

Does this pattern come with written instructions instead of chart, i have noticted most of your patterns are charted regards neda
25.04.2020 - 23:51DROPS Design answered:
Dear Neda, unfortunately we do not have a written out pattern for this piece. We think charted patterns are better not only because they are universal and can be "read" in every language, but also because they not only show you the very next step, but also how stitches androws relate to each other. We so have a lesson on how to read knitting harts / diagrams here, and don't forget, if you get stuck, you can always ask for help in the store in person, or even over the phone, where you bought your DROPS yarn from. Happy Knitting!

Buongiorno. I gettati anno lavorati a dritto o dritto ritorto? Grazie
18.11.2019 - 15:23DROPS Design answered:
Buon lavoro!

Knitted hat and shawl with garter stitch and cables in DROPS Air.

||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
---------------------------------------------------------- EXPLANATION FOR THE PATTERN: ---------------------------------------------------------- GARTER STITCH (worked in the round): 1 ridge vertically = 2 rounds, i.e. knit 1 round and purl 1 round. GARTER STITCH (back and forth): Knit all rows. 1 ridge vertically = knit 2 rows. PATTERN: Hat: See diagram A.1 to A.3 - choose diagram for your size. Shawl: See diagrams A.4 and A.5. Diagrams show all rows in pattern seen from the right side. INCREASE TIP (evenly): To calculate how to increase evenly, use the total number of stitches on row (e.g. 88 stitches) and divide stitches by number of increases to be done (e.g. 22) = 4. In this example increase by making 1 yarn over after every 4th stitch. On next round work yarn overs twisted to avoid holes. ---------------------------------------------------------- START THE PIECE HERE: ---------------------------------------------------------- HAT - SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE PIECE: Worked in the round on circular needle. Switch to double pointed needles when needed. HAT: Cast on 88-92 stitches on circular needle size 4 mm = US 6 with Air. Knit 1 round. Then work rib (= knit 2/purl 2) for 3 cm = 1⅛". Work 1 ridge in GARTER STITCH in the round - read explanation above AT THE SAME TIME on 1st round increase 22-23 stitches evenly - read INCREASE TIP = 110-115 stitches. Switch to circular needle size 5 mm = US 8. Work A.1 - choose diagram for your size (= 22-23 stitches) 5 times on round. REMEMBER THE KNITTING GAUGE! When A.1 has been worked vertically, work A.2 over A.1 until piece measures 19-21 cm = 7½"-8¼", adjust after 1 whole repetition of A.2 vertically (6 cm = 2⅜" now remain until finished measurements). Now work and decrease according to diagram A.3 - choose diagram for your size (= 5 repetitions on round). When A.3 has been worked 1 time vertically, there are 30-35 stitches on round. Knit 2 and 2 stitches together on round (in size L/XL knit the last stitch on round together with the first stitch on next round) = 15-17 stitches. Cut the yarn and pull it through the remaining stitches, tighten together and fasten. The hat measures approx. 25-27 cm = 9¾"-10⅝" vertically. ---------------------------------------------------------- SHAWL - SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE PIECE: Worked back and forth on circular needle, from tip up. SHAWL: Cast on 3 stitches on circular needle size 8 mm = US 11 with Air. Then work as follows: ROWS 1-2: Knit 1, 1 yarn over and knit the rest of row. ROWS 3-4: Knit 1, 1 yarn over, knit 1, 1 yarn over and knit the rest of row. REMEMBER THE KNITTING GAUGE! Repeat rows 1 -4 until there are 21 stitches on needle. Now work A.4 over the middle 15 stitches, and work garter stitch over the remaining stitches on row, AT THE SAME TIME continue increase the same way as before (i.e. As rows 1-4). When A.4 has been worked vertically, 2 stitches have been increased in diagram. Now work A.5 over stitches in A.4 and continue increases as before until piece measures approx. 50 cm = 19¾" in the middle (or to desired length) - adjust to finish after 3rd row in A.5. Loosely bind off with double yarn. |
