Pattern instructions

NOTE: This pattern is written in American English. All measurements in charts are in cm. For conversion from inches to cm - click here. There are different terms for crocheting in American and British English. If this pattern includes crochet, click for "crochet terms" here. For this pattern in British English, please click here.
See diagram A.1. Work entire pattern in stockinette st.

Row 1 (= RS): Work until 9-9-9-11 sts remain, slip next st as if to K, K 1, psso, turn piece.
Row 2 (= WS): Work until 9-9-9-11 sts remain, slip next st as if to P, P 1, psso, turn piece.
Row 3 (= RS): Work until 8-8-8-10 sts remain, slip next st as if to K, K 1, psso, turn piece.
Row 4 (= WS): Work until 8-8-8-10 sts remain, slip next st as if to P, P 1, psso, turn piece.
Continue dec like this with 1 st less before every dec until there are 8-8-10-10 sts on needle.

Worked in the round on double pointed needles. Cast on 52-52-56-68 sts on double pointed needles size 3 mm / US 2.5 with off white. K 1 round, continue in rib = P 2/K 2. When rib measures 4-5-5-6 cm / 1½"-2"-2"-2½", K 1 round while AT THE SAME TIME dec 4-4-8-4 sts evenly = 48-48-48-64 sts. Switch to double pointed needles size 3.5 mm / US 4. K 1 round. Then work A.1 (= 16 sts) over all sts (= 3-3-3-4 times). REMEMBER THE KNITTING GAUGE When A.1 has been worked 1 time vertically, keep the first 12-12-13-15 sts on needle, slip the next 24-24-22-34 sts on a stitch holder (= mid on top of foot) and keep the last 12-12-13-15 sts on needle = 24-24-26-30 sts for heel. Work in stockinette st back and forth over heel sts with off white for 4½-5-5½-6 cm / 1 3/4"-2"-2 1/4"-2½". Insert 1 marker in piece. Then work HEEL DECREASE - see explanation above. After heel dec, pick up 10-10-12-10 sts with off white along each side of heel and slip the 24-24-22-34 sts from stitch holder back on needle = 52-52-56-64 sts. Insert 1 marker on each side of the middle 26-26-28-32 sts on mid on top of foot. Continue in the round with off white while AT THE SAME TIME dec in each side as follows: K the last 2 sts before the 26-26-28-32 sts on top of foot tog and K the first 2 sts after the 26-26-28-32 sts on top of foot twisted tog. Repeat dec every other round a total of 4 times = 44-44-48-56 sts. When piece measures approx. 16-18-20-22 cm / 6 1/4"-7''-8''-8¾'' from marker on heel (= approx. 4-4-4-5 cm / 1½"-1½''-1½''-2'' remain), insert 1 marker in the mid of each side so that there are 22-22-24-28 sts both on top of foot and under foot. Continue in the round in stockinette st with off white over all sts. AT THE SAME TIME dec for toe on each side of both markers as follows: 3 sts before marker: K 2 tog, K 2 (marker is between these 2 sts), K 2 twisted tog. Repeat dec every other round a total of 3-3-3-4 times and then every round a total of 6-6-7-7 times = 8-8-8-12 sts remain on needle. Cut the yarn and pull it through the remaining sts, tighten tog and fasten. Knit another sock the same way.

Pattern is super nice! Made this socks as a Christmas present for my friends. But one thing is that 100 g for the big size (41/43) absolutely not enough, even though I made the fair isle part almost twice shorter. Better to have 150 g of white color.

Wait ? What ?

Bon tricot!
