Can you confirm or correct the dimensions of the finished wreath? As they are currently stated, they are not possible. Thank you!

Bonjour Mme Rousseau, l'échantillon pour la couronne est de 11 mailles x 15 rangs jersey = 10 x 10 cm; avec des aiguilles 8 ou bien celles nécessaires pour obtenir l'échantillon. Bon tricot!

" Dear Mrs Dewilde, could you tell us where you found any issue? This crown was already succesful knitted - might this lesson help you? Thank you! " NO IT ISN'T, I checked those who made this crown and everyone had problems with the pattern. Line 3 and 7 are not correct as you have to go from right to left instead of left to right....what is the name of the cable so we can find a pattern that works. I have knitted many of your patterns, never aproblem.

Dear Mrs Dewilode, the video below might be the right one, you will see how to work row 3 on time code 4:00 and how to work row 7 on time code 9.15. Hope this will help. Happy knitting!

------------------------------------------------------- EXPLANATIONS FOR THE PATTERN: ------------------------------------------------------- RIDGE/GARTER STITCH (worked back and forth): Knit all rows. 1 ridge in height = Knit 2 rows. PATTERN: Wreath: See diagram A.1. The diagram shows all rows in the pattern seen from the right side. ------------------------------------------------------- START THE PIECE HERE: ------------------------------------------------------- WREATH – SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE PIECE: The piece is worked back and forth on the needle then sewn together and filled with wadding. WREATH: Cast on 17 stitches with needle size 8 mm = US 11 and Snow. The first row is worked as follows from the right side: Work 4 stitches in GARTER STITCH - see description above, A.1 (= 9 stitches) and 4 stitches in garter stitch. REMEMBER THE KNITTING GAUGE! Continue with A.1 and 4 stitches in garter stitch on each side until the piece measures 54 cm = 21¼" – finish with the last row in A.1. Loosely bind off all stitches. ASSEMBLY: Fold the piece so the cast-on and bind-off edges meet and sew them together with grafting stitches from the right side. Then fold the piece so the cable is on the outside. Now sew the long sides together at the same time as you fill the wreath with wadding as you go. Sew the outermost garter stitches from each side together. The garter stitch ridges should be at the back and the cable at the front. Tie a silk ribbon around the wreath so the seam around the cable is hidden. The wreath is hung using the ribbon. |
