Change to rib - (seen from the right side) Does this mean i reverse the stitches for the wrong side
07.01.2015 - 19:09DROPS Design answered:
Dear Janet, you first work 2 rows in garter st, then 2 rows st st (K1 row from RS and P1 row from WS), then work in rib *K1, P1, K1, P8 *, repeat * - * and finish with K1, P1, K1 and K1 with 1 edge st in garter st on each side. From WS, work rib with K over K and P over P. Happy knitting!

Hej Britta, Når arb måler 73 cm har du taget ind i ribben to gange.

Hvilket harn blir mest lik orginalen
05.08.2014 - 09:02DROPS Design answered:
Hej Eva. Du kan se mulige alternativer her.

Of zijn alle naalden boordsteek?

Hoi Brigitte.

Hi, I'm not sure what it means in the pattern when it says "2 rows with rib over only the outermost 46 (52) sts". Does it mean on one side of the row, or 46 sts at the beginning and end of the row?? Many Thanks!
20.11.2013 - 11:29DROPS Design answered:
Dear Katherine, it means to work short rows starting from RS on the first 46 (52) sts at beg of row for 1st side (the last 5 cm in measurement chart). Happy knitting!

DROPS Poncho in Silke-Tweed and Glitter
DROPS 89-16 |
|
Rib (seen from the right side): K 1 (edge st knit in garter st), * K 1, P 1, K 1, P 8 *, repeat * - * and finish with K 1, P 1, K 1 and K 1 (edge st knit in garter st). Tips: Count the rows at the neck when seaming poncho so that the neck will be the same at each side. Poncho: The poncho is knit in 2 pieces then sewn together. 1st side: Cast on 115 (126) sts around 2 needles with 1 strand Silke-Tweed and 1 strand Glitter (2 strands). Pull out one needle and knit 2 rows garter st. Then K 1 row (right side) and P 1 row (wrong side), keeping 1 edge st at each side in garter st. Change to rib – see instructions above. When the piece measures 28 (30) cm dec all P 8 to P 7 = 105 (115) sts. When the piece measures 55 (60) cm dec all P 7 to P 6 = 95 (104) sts. Continue in rib until piece measures 73 (80) cm – adjust so that the next row is a wrong side row. Now knit as follows: * 2 rows with rib over all sts, 2 rows with rib over only the outermost 46 (52) sts *, repeat * - * until piece measures 83 (90) cm on longer side and approx. 78 (85) cm on shorter side. Continue in rib over all sts until the piece measures approx. 90 (97) cm on longer side. Now inc all P 6 to P 7 = 105 (115) sts. When the piece measures approx. 97 (104) cm on longer side inc all P 7 to P 8 = 115 (126) sts. Continue in rib until the piece measures approx. 101 (110) cm on longer side. K 2 rows garter st and bind off. 2nd side: Cast on and knit the same as the 1st side. Assembly: Sew the 2 sides together as follows: sew bound-off edge of 1st side to right long side of 2nd side. Start at lower cast-on edge on 2nd side and sew to 1st side along 55 (60) cm – see Tips above – and be sure that the seam is not too tight. Sew 2nd side to 1st side in the same manner to left long side. |
