SC ROUNDS (applies to bag): Beg every round with 1 ch and 1 sc in 1st sc, and finish with 1 sl st in 1st sc. DC-GROUPS: 1 dc-group = 2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc in same ch-space. Beg every dc-group round with sl st until 1st ch-space, ch 3, 1 dc, ch 2, 2 dc in same ch-space, then 1 dc-group in every ch-space, finish with 1 sl st in 3rd ch from beg of round. SC IN A CIRCLE (applies to handle): After last sc on 1st round, work 1 sc in next sc, then work in the round with 1 sc in every sc. --------------------------------------------------------- BAG: Worked in the round with 1 thread Lin linen/Muskat light taupe and 1 thread Cotton Viscose light beige/Safran beige on hook size 5 mm / H/8 as follows: ROUND 1: ch 2, 8 sc in 1st ch, finish with 1 sl st in 1st sc = 8 sc - Read SC ROUNDS above. ROUND 19: Work * 1 sc in each of the next 7 sc, then 2 sc in next sc *, repeat from *-* = 108 sc (12 new sts). ROUND 20: Work 1 sc in every sc = 108 sc. Repeat 19TH and 20TH ROUND to inc 12 new sts every other round (i.e. work 1 sc in each of the next 8 and 9 sc, then 2 sc in next sc) until there are 132 sc on round. Then work 1 sc in every sc until piece measures 9 cm / 3½" from the last inc (piece measures approx. 22 cm / 8¾" from 1st round). Then work as follows: Work as follows in 1st sc: ch 3, 1 dc, ch 2, 2 dc, * skip 3 sc, 1 dc-group in next sc * - Read DC-GROUPS above, repeat from *-* the entire round, finish by skipping 3 sc and work 1 sl st in 3rd ch from beg of round = 33 dc-groups. Work the round with dc-groups for approx. 23 cm / 9" (piece measures approx. 45 cm / 17¾" from 1st round). Work next round as follows: ch 1, 3 sc in every ch-space the entire round, finish with 4 sc in last ch-space on round = 100 sc. Work 1 sc in every sc for 6 rounds. Work next round as follows: 10 sc, * ch 2, skip 2 sc, 26 sc, ch 2, skip 2 sc *, 20 sc, repeat from *-* 1 more time, finish with 10 sc = 4 openings for handle. Continue with 1 sc in every sc (1 sc in every ch over the openings) for 6 more rounds, fasten off (piece measures approx. 6 cm / 2½" from 1st round with sc after last round with dc-groups). HANDLE: Worked in the round. Ch 5 with 2 threads Lin brown/Muskat clove on hook size 5 mm / H/8 and form a ring with 1 sl st in first ch. Work 1 sc in every ch = 5 sc. Then work SC IN A CIRCLE - Read explanation above - for approx. 80 cm / 31½" (or desired length), fasten off. Work another handle the same way. ASSEMBLY: Pull the ends on the handle through the openings on the bag from WS, make a knot. Repeat in the other side. |
