Buenas tardes.

Knitting gauge: 24 sts x 32 rows on needles size 3 MM = US 2.5 in stockinette sts = 10 x 10 cm = 4" x 4". Garter sts (back and forth on needle): Knit all rows. Front piece: Cast on 62-70-76-86 sts (incl of 1 edge st each side) on needles size 3 MM = US 2.5 with mustard Pelliza and knit 4 rows of garter sts. Change to light grey Pelliza and continue in stockinette sts. Remember the knitting gauge! When the piece measures 16-17-19-21 cm = 6¼"-6¾"-7½"-8¼" bind off for armholes each side on every other row: 3 sts 1 time, 2 sts 2 times and 1 st 1-2-1-2 times = 46-52-60-68 sts. When the piece measures 19-21-23-26 cm = 7½"-8¼"-9"-10¼" knit 2 rows of garter sts over the center 6 sts, knit the other sts in stockinette sts. On the following row after 2 rows of garter sts divide the work into 2 pieces (slit for the neck), i.e. leave half of the sts on a thread. Continue to knit in stockinette sts, but knit the center 3 sts mid front in garter sts. When the piece measures 23-25-27-30 cm = 9"-9¾"-10⅝"-11¾" put 5-6-7-8 sts mid front on a thread for neck. Continue to bind off for the neck shaping on every other row: 2 sts 2 times and 1 st 2 times = 12-14-17-20 sts left for the shoulder. Bind off the remaining sts when the piece measures 27-29-32-35 cm = 10⅝"-11⅜"-12½"-13¾". Put the sts from the thread at the bottom of the slit back on the needle and knit this side the same way. Back piece: Cast on and knit as the front piece. Bind off for the armholes as done for the front and continue to knit until the piece measures 26-28-31-34 cm = 10¼"-11"-12¼"-13⅜". Now bind off the center 10-20-22-24 sts for the neck. Continue to bind off 2 sts on the following row towards the neck side = 12-14-17-20 sts left on each shoulder. Bind off when the piece measures 27-29-32-35 cm = 10⅝"-11⅜"-12½"-13¾". Sleeves: Cast on 38-38-40-42 sts (incl 1 edge st each side) on needle size 3 MM = US 2.5 with mustard pelliza and knit 4 rows of garter sts. Change to light grey pelliza and continue in stockinette sts. When the piece measure 3 cm = 1⅛" inc 1 st each side a total of 6-8-10-11 times for Size 1/3 month: on every 8th row, for size 6/9 month: alternate between every 6th and 7th row, for size 12/18 month + 24 month: on every 6th row = 50-54-60-64 sts. When the sleeve measures 18-20-22-24 cm = 7"-8"-8¾"-9½" bind off each side for sleeve cap on every other row as follows: 4 sts 0-1-2-2 times, 3 sts 2-1-1-1 times, 2 sts 1-2-1-1 times and 1 st 3-2-2-3 times, continue to bind off 2 sts each side until the piece measures 22-24-26-29 cm = 8¾"-9½"-10¼"-11⅜", then bind off 3 sts 1 time and bind off the remaining sts when the piece measures approx. 23-25-27-30 cm = 9"-9¾"-10⅝"-11¾". Assembly: Sew the shoulder seams Hood: Pick up approx. 52-70 sts (incl the sts on the thread at the front) around the neck line from mid front on circular needles size 3 MM = US 2.5 with light grey pelliza. Knit 2 rows of garter sts back and forth, and continue in stockinette sts, but continue to knit the outer most 4 sts each side in garter sts. At the same time inc evenly to 82-86-92-96 sts on the first row of stockinette sts. NB! Do not inc in the 4 edge sts at the sides. Continue to knit until the hood measures 21-23-25-27 cm = 8¼"-9"-9¾"-10⅝", bind off. Sew the hood tog at the top. Sew the sleeve and the side seams inside the edge st. Ribbon: Cut 3 threads of light grey Pelliza approx 50 cm = 19¾" long each. Pull these tog through the front piece inside 1 st – in the transition between the neck line and the hood. Bend the threads double so you get a ribbon approx 25 cm = 9¾" long made up of 6 threads. Divide the threads into 3 bunches with 2 threads in each bunch and make a plait. Tassel: Cut 10 threads of mustard Pelliza approx 10 cm = 4" long each. Tie the end of the plait around the middle of the 10 threads to make a tassel. Fold the threads for the tassel double so the knot from the plat is hidden in the tassel. Tie 1 thread of mustard pelliza, approx 1 cm = ⅜" down the tassel where it was folded and sew the ends tight. Make another ribbon and tassel for the other side. |
