REMOVABLE COLLAR IN ANGORA-TWEED: Gauge: 20 sts x 26 rows on larger needles in stockinette st = 10 x 10 cm [4" x 4"]. Rib: * K 2, P 2 *. Repeat * - *. Garter Stitch, when knitting flat: Knit all sts, all rows. Garter Stitch, when knitting in the round: *Rnd 1, knit. Rnd 2, purl *. Repeat from * - *. Yoke front: Cast on 54 sts on larger needles and knit 6 rows garter st. Change to stockinette st over the center 48 sts, keep 3 sts garter st on each side throughout. When the work measures 11 cm [4.25"] bind off the center 20 sts for the neck. Knit each shoulder separately from here on. Gauge: 22 sts x 30 rows on larger needles in stockinette st = 10 x 10 cm [4" x 4"]. Rib: * K 2, P 2 *. Repeat from * - *. Hat: Cast on 156 (160) sts on smaller double pointed needles; join and place a marker at the join. Knit 8 cm [3-⅛"] rib. Place a marker and now measure from here! Change to larger double pointed needles and knit stockinette st, decreasing 42 (40) sts evenly distributed on the 1st row = 114 (120) sts. When the work measures 10 (12) cm [4" (4.75"] (from marker) attach a marker after every 6th st. On the next row, knit the 2 sts after the markers together. Repeat this decrease every 6th row until 19 (20) sts remain. On the next row, K 2 tog across the row (the number of sts is halved). Then pull a doubled strand of yarn through these sts and tie off the strand. |
