JUMPER: Knitting gauge: 24 sts x 32 rows on needles size 3 mm / US 2or3 in stockinette sts = 10 x 10 cm / 4" x 4". Rib: *K1, P1*, repeat from *-*. Garter st on circular needle: K 1 round, P 1 round. ------------------------------------------------------------------ Front and back piece: Knitted in the round on circular needle. Cast on 120-132-144 (154-160) sts on circular needle size 2.5 mm / US 1 with white and work 4 cm / 1½" Rib. Change to needle size 3 mm / US 2or3 and red, work 2 rounds in garter st, at the same time inc 0-0-0 (14-20) sts evenly on round = 120-132-144 (168-180) sts. Change back to white and continue in stockinette st. Remember the knitting gauge. When piece measures 15-16-19 (22-21) cm / 6"-6¼"-7½" (8¾"-8¼") bind off 4 sts each side and complete front and back pieces separately. Front piece: = 56-62-68 (80-86) sts. Bind off to shape the armholes on every other row as follows: 2 sts 1 time, 1 st 1-0-0 (1-0) time = 50-58-64 (74-82) sts. When piece measures 24-26-30 (34-37) cm / 9½"-10¼"-11¾" (13⅜"-14½") bind off the middle 14-16-20 (24-32) sts for neck and work each side separate. Continuing bind off to shape the neckline on every other row: 2 sts 2 times and 1 st 2 times. Bind off when piece measures 27-29-33 (37-40) cm / 10⅝"-11⅜"-13" (14½"-15¾"). Back piece: = 56-62-68 (80-86) sts. Bind off for armhole as described for front piece = 50-58-64 (74-82) sts. When piece measures 22-24-28 (32-35) cm / 8¾"-9½"-11" (12½"-13¾") divide piece for split as follows: Right side (with button): work on the first 28-32-35 (40-44) sts with the 2 sts towards neckline in garter st. After 3 cm / 1⅛" bind off to shape the neckline on every other row as follows: 12-13-15 (17-21) sts 1 time, 2 sts 1 time and 1 st 2 times. Bind off when piece measures 27-29-33 (37-40) cm / 10⅝"-11⅜"-13" (14½"-15¾"). Left side (with buttonhole): Cast on 6 new sts towards the middle = 28-32-35 (40-44) sts and work on all sts with the 2 sts towards neckline in garter st. After 2 cm / ¾" make a buttonhole by binding off third and fourth st and casting on 2 new sts on return row. After 3 cm / 1⅛" bind off to shape the neckline on every other row as follows: 12-13-15 (17-21) sts 1 time, 2 sts 1 time and 1 st 2 times. Bind off when piece measures 27-29-33 (37-40) cm / 10⅝"-11⅜"-13" (14½"-15¾"). Sleeve: Cast on 36-36-38 (40-40) sts on double pointed needles size 2.5 mm / US 1 with white and work 3 cm / 1⅛" Rib. Change to needle size 3 mm / US 2or3 and red and work 2 rounds garter st, change back to white and continue in stockinette st. At the same time, inc 2 sts mid under arm a total of 11-13-15 (16-26) times as follows: Size 3 months: on every 3rd round Size 6/9 + 12/18 months + 2 years: on every 3rd and 4th round alternately Size 3/4 years: on every other and 3rd round alternately = 58-62-68 (72-92) sts. When piece measures 15-19-21 (22-26) cm / 6"-7½"-8¼" (8¾"-10¼") bind off 4 sts mid under arm and complete sleeve back and forth on needle. Bind off to shape the sleeve cap each side on every other row: 4 sts 4 times. Bind off, sleeve measures approx 18-22-24 (25-29) cm / 7"-8¾"-9½" (9¾"-11⅜"). Assembly: Sew shoulder seam. Pick up approx 70-80 sts round neck on needle size 2.5 mm / US 1 with white, change to red and work 2 rounds in garter st, change back to white and work 2 cm / ¾" Rib, but after 1 cm / ⅜" make a buttonhole over the others on body piece. 1 buttonhole = bind off 3rd and 4th st and cast on new st on return row. Bind off. Set in sleeves and sew on buttons. ___________________________________________________ PANTS: Size: 3 – 6/9 – 12/18 months (2 - 3/4) years DROPS button, 2 pcs DROPS circular needle and double pointed needles size 2.5 mm / US 1 Knitting gauge: 25 sts x 34 rows on needles size 2.5 mm / US 1 in stockinette sts = 10 x 10 cm / 4" x 4". Rib: *K1, P1*, repeat from *-*. Stripes: *10 rounds navy blue, 2 rounds white*, repeat from *-*. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Right leg: Cast on 52-56-58 (62-62) sts on circular needle size 2.5 mm / US 1 with red and work 5 cm / 2" Rib, but after 1st round change to white. After the Rib continue in stripes (see above) and stockinette st, at the same time inc 16-16-18 (18-18) sts evenly on first round = 68-72-76 (80-80) sts. At the same time inc on inside leg on every 2-3-3 (4-5) cm / ¾"-1⅛"-1⅛" (1½"-2"): 2 sts 4 times = 76-80-84 (88-88) sts. Remember the knitting gauge. When piece measures 16-18-21 (25-28) cm / 6¼"-7"-8¼" (9¾"-11") divide piece at inside leg (= split) and complete piece back and forth on needle. Inc 1 st each side for seam = 78-82-86 (90-90) sts. When piece measures 18-20-23 (27-30) cm / 7"-8"-9" (10½"-11¾") bind off 5 sts each side = 68-72-76 (80-80) sts. Put piece aside and knit the other leg. Left leg: knit as right leg. Pants: Put left and right leg in on the same circular needle = 136-144-152 (160-160) sts. Work 3 rounds and insert a marker mid front and mid back. Now inc mid back 1 st on both sides of marker 4-6-2 (2-2) times, and dec 1 st on both sides of marker mid front 4-8-6 (6-6) times on every other row as follows: before marker : K2 tog, after marker : slip 1 st as if to knit, psso = 136-140-144 (152-152) sts. When piece measures 30-34-39 (44-48) cm / 11¾"-13⅜"-15¼" (17¼"-19") work 8 cm / 3⅛" Rib in navy blue, but after 6 cm / 2⅜" make 2 buttonholes mid front with approx 8-9-10 (10-11) cm / 3"-3½"-4" (4"-4½") between each buttonhole. 1 buttonhole = bind off 2 sts and cast on 2 new sts on return row. After 8 cm / 3⅛" in Rib, change to red and bind off in red. Braces: Cast on 8 sts on needle size 2.5 mm / US 1 with navy blue and knit 40 cm / 15¾" Rib, bind off. Fasten braces mid back with approx 2 cm / ¾" between them. Sew on buttons. Assembly: Sew tog split on inside of legs and sew tog the opening between legs from mid front to mid back. ___________________________________________________ HAT: Size: 3 – 6/9 – 12/18 months (2 - 3/4) years Head circumference: 42-44-46 (48-48) cm / 16½"-17¼"-18" (19"-19") DROPS double pointed needles size 3 mm / US 2or3 Knitting gauge: 24 sts x 32 rows on needles size 3 mm / US 2or3 in stockinette sts = 10 x 10 cm / 4" x 4". Garter st on double pointed needles: K 1 round, P 1 round Stripes: *6 rounds navy blue, 2 rounds white*, repeat from *-*. Cast on 102-108-108 (114-114) sts on double pointed needles size 3 mm / US 2or3 and work 6 rounds in garter st. Continue in stockinette st and stripes. When piece measures 6 cm / 2½" insert 6 marker with 17-18-18 (19-19) sts between each. Now K tog the first 2 sts after each marker (6 less sts per round). Repeat this dec on every round until piece measures 11-11-11 (11.5.11.5) cm / 4¼"-4¼"-4¼" (4½"-4½"). Cut thread, pull through remaining sts and fasten. |
