COLOR CHANGE (applies to end of round at color change): To get a nice transition to next round work last slip stitch as follows: Switch to new color, work 1 slip stitch in the first chain stitch on round. ---------------------------------------------------------- START THE PIECE HERE: ---------------------------------------------------------- GINGERBREAD CAKES – SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE PIECE: Work in the round from the middle and outwards, then work a strap at the top of a tip. SMALL GINGERBREAD CAKE: Begin with crochet hook 3 MM = US 2.5 and color chocolate in DROPS Baby Merino. Work 4 chain stitches - read CROCHET TIP FOR CHAIN STITCH, and form a ring with 1 slip stitch in first chain stitch. ROUND 1: Work A.1A, then work A.1B 6 times in total on round.
