Your answers here were very helpful. My questions were answered. Especially the part that A.1 is at the beginning of the row, A2 is repeated across the row until the last 9 stitches. Now I get it. I think a few more written words in the directions would have helped because the diagram is very helpful once you know that A.2 is repeated all across the row rather than repeating A.1 followed by A.2 all across the row until the last 9 stitches.

Hi, on the last line of A.z pattern there seems to be a space after the first 10 dc symbols then again after the next 5. Do I skip a stitch here or is this row a dc in every stitch along like the first row. Best regards, Stephanie
05.07.2015 - 11:33DROPS Design answered:
Dear Mrs Hutton, there is a space there due to grafic reasons, on last row in A.z work 1 dc in each dc from previous row. Happy crocheting!

Help, in common with another comment I am on my second attempt at the tension test. On the pattern it says to do 14 dtr = 10 cm, where does it say to do 9 rows? I normally crochet tight and have tried a 4mm hook. 14dtr gives me 10cm along, by the time I have done 9 rows it measures nearly 16cm! Am I doing something wrong?
29.06.2015 - 13:37DROPS Design answered:
Dear Mrs Hutton, tension requires here 14 dtr = width 10 cm. Adjust lenght following measurements for your size. Happy crocheting!

We work back and forth, not circular. Is that right? If yes, please explain me sth. For the 3 rd line you mention and show "1 sc in every sc". Don' t we need a ch to turn with? The same for the beginning of A1. Don't we need 4 ch before the first tr to turn with? And if I do need 4 ch to turn, then I I continue with 5 tr, or with 6?
31.05.2015 - 08:34DROPS Design answered:
Dear Maria, that's right, you work back and forth and replace first sts on row with some chains - see "Crochet Info" at the beg of the pattern. Happy crocheting!

16.05.2015 - 21:23DROPS Design answered:
Hoi Henriette.

Hi, I'm not quite understand of what this sentence mean: "Work 1 sc in 2nd ch from hook, 1 sc in each of the next ch 2, skip ch 1". Does this mean I will have 3 sc and skip 1 ch?
26.04.2015 - 14:47DROPS Design answered:
Dear Frisca, that's correct, at this point, you will have 3 sc over 4 ch, then repeat *1 sc in each of the next 3 ch, skip 1 ch*, so that you will skip every 4th ch - fundation ch is often much tighter than the 1st row you crochet, skipping ch on 1st row allows to get the correct width from 1st row. Happy crocheting!
