Even if it is a jacquard it shows easy. Using so many colors , but only 2 on one line. For sure I will do it.

Knitted DROPS jacket with round yoke and pattern in "Nepal". Size: S - XXXL.
DROPS 142-7 |
||||||||||||||||||||||
PATTERN: See diagrams A.1 and A.2. Diagrams show pattern from RS. Work entire pattern in stockinette st. KNITTING TIP: When A.1 and A.2 are worked, there will be 1 st at the end of row that do not fit the pattern. This st is worked in the pattern as the first st in next repetition. This is done to make the pattern the same on both sides of bands. GARTER ST (back and forth on needle): K sts on all rows. ---------------------------------------------------------- JACKET: Worked back and forth on circular needle from mid front. Cast on 184-204-220-240-268-292 sts (includes 1 edge st in each side towards mid front) on circular needle size 4.5 mm / US 7 with beige Nepal. P 1 row from WS. Then work rib as follows (1st row = RS): 1 edge st (worked K on every row until finished measurements), * K 2, P 2 *, repeat from *-* and finish with K 2 and 1 edge st (worked K on every row until finished measurements). When rib measures 4-4-4-4-5-5 cm / 1½"-1½"-1½"-1½"-2"-2", switch to circular needle size 5 mm / US 8. K 1 row from RS while at the same time dec 27-35-39-41-45-51 sts evenly = 157-169-181-199-223-241 sts. Insert a marker in each side, 40-43-46-50-56-61 sts in from mid front (= middle of the sides), back piece = 77-83-89-99-111-119 sts. Work in stockinette st. When piece measures 7 cm / 2¾", dec 1 st on each side of every marker (= 4 sts dec), repeat dec every 3 cm / 1⅛" 3 more times = 141-153-165-183-207-225 sts. When piece measures 22 cm / 8¾", inc 1 st on each side of every marker (= 4 sts inc), repeat inc every 3-3½-4-4½-5-5½ cm / 1⅛"-1¼"-1½"-1¾"-2"-2¼" 2 more times = 153-165-177-195-219-237 sts. When piece measures 30-31-32-33-34-35 cm / 11¾"-12¼"-12½"-13"-13⅜"-13¾", work A.1 with 1 edge st in each side (first row = from RS) - read Knitting tip. When A.1 has been worked, K 1 row from RS with gray/purple while AT THE SAME TIME binding off 6 sts in each side (i.e. 3 sts on each side of every marker) = 141-153-165-183-207-225 sts. Put piece aside. SLEEVE EDGE: Worked in the round. Cast on 68-68-68-76-76-76 sts on double pointed needles size 4.5 mm / US 7 with beige and work rib = K 2/P 2. When piece measures 4 cm / 1½", switch to double pointed needles size 5 mm / US 8, K 1 row while AT THE SAME TIME dec 8-8-8-10-10-10 sts evenly = 60-60-60-66-66-66 sts. Place a marker at beg of round. Then work according to A.1. When A.1 has been worked, work 1 row with gray/purple while AT THE SAME TIME casting/binding off 6 sts mid under sleeve (i.e. 3 sts on each side of marker) = 54-54-54-60-60-60 sts. Put piece aside and knit another sleeve edge the same way. YOKE: Slip sleeve edges on to same circular needle size 5 mm / US 8 as body where armholes were bound off = 249-261-273-303-327-345 sts. Work 1 row with beige while AT THE SAME TIME dec 12-6-0-12-0-0 sts evenly = 237-255-273-291-327-345 sts. Work and dec according to diagram A.2 (continue with 1 edge st in each side). When A.2 has been worked vertically, 107-115-123-131-129-136 sts remain on needle - see arrow for your size. Slip the sts on a stitch holder. LEFT BAND: Worked back and forth on circular needle. Pick up 115-119-123-127-131-135 sts along left front piece inside 1 edge st on circular needle size 4.5 mm / US 7 with beige. K 1 row from WS. Then work rib as follows (from RS and at the top of neck): 1 st in garter st, * K 2, P 2 *, repeat from *-*, finish with K 2 and 4 sts in garter st. Continue like this until rib measures approx. 4 cm / 1½". Loosely bind off with K over K and P over P. RIGHT BAND: Work as left band but when band measures 2 cm / ¾", bind off for 6-6-6-6-7-7 buttonholes evenly – top buttonhole should be 1 cm / ⅜" from the top and bottom hole should be approx. 3 cm / 1⅛" from bottom edge. 1 BUTTONHOLE = P 2 tog (seen from RS) and cast on 1 new st on next row over this st. NECK EDGE: Slip sts from stitch holder back on circular needle size 4.5 mm / US 7 and pick up 8 sts over each band = 123-131-139-147-145-152 sts. K 4 rows with beige while AT THE SAME TIME on first row dec 43-47-51-55-49-52 sts evenly = 80-84-88-92-96-100 sts. Bind off all sts. ASSEMBLY: Sew tog the openings under the sleeves and sew on buttons on left band. |
