How to crochet a small flower

In this DROPS video we show how to crochet the small flower which is used in the «Flower in the Sky» top in DROPS 78-19. Work like this: Work 6 chain stitch and form them in a ring with 1 slip stich. 1st round: Work 12 single crochet around the ring, finish with 1 slip stich in the first single crochet. 2nd round: Work * 5 chain stitch, skip 1 single crochet, 1 single crochet in the next stitch *, repeat from *-* in total 5 times, 5 chain stitch, skip 1 single crochet, 1 slip stitch in the first single crochet at beg of round = 6 chain stitch-loops. 3rd round: * 2 single crochet, 3 doublecrochet, 2 single crochet round the next chain stitch-space *, repeat from *-* in total 6 times and finish with 1 slip stitch in the first single crochet at beg of round. Cut the yarn and pull through the loop. The yarn will later be used to sew the flowers tog. How to crochet a large flower

In this DROPS video we show how to crochet a large flower, which is used in the «Flower in the Sky» top in DROPS 78-19. Flower – crochet

Ch 6 and form a ring by working a sl st in first ch. Round 1: ch 1, 1 hdc in ring, *ch 7, 1 sl st through the 2 loops in the front of last hdc, 2 hdc in ring*, repeat *-* until you have 5 ch-spaces, ch 7, 1 sl st through the 2 first loops in the front of last hdc, 1 hdc and end with 1 sl st in first ch on round. Cut the yarn and pull trough. Change color. Round 2: make a slip knot on your hook and fasten the new color with a sl st in one of the ch-spaces. ch 1, crochet 12 hdc around the ch-space, * make a hdc in next ch-space, and another 11 hdc in the same ch-space, repeat *-* in all ch-spaces and finish with 1 sl st in first ch on round. Cut the yarn and pull trough. Change color. Round 3: make a slip knot on your hook and fasten the new color with a sl st around the 2nd hdc on round 1, ch 1, 1 sc down and around in the same hdc. Fold the ch-space towards you and work 1 sc around 1 of the loops on the back of all hdc's (the tip of all hdc's from prev round will bend forward and show clearly from the front). Between the leaves make a very loose sc in the 2nd hdc on round 1. Finish with 1 sl st in first ch on round. Cut the yarn and pull trough.

Flower bouquet in wool yarn

In this DROPS video we have crocheted a bouquet of flowers. We have used different DROPS pattern, knitted a hat that we put over a flower pot and sewn flowers stuck. A good idea is to put the flowers in place with pins before they are sewn on, so you get an overview where one should place the flowers. All flowers have is own video on how they made. Crochet: 17th May flower

In this DROPS video we show how to work a beautiful flower that can be used to decorate on May 17th (Norway's National Day), as decorations on clothes, decorations in the hair, table decorations and much more. Work 6 ch with Color I and form a ring with 1 sl st in first ch. ROUND 1: work ch 1, 15 sc around the ring and - READ COLOR CHANGE below - finish with 1 sl st in first ch with Color II. ROUND 2: ch 3, * ch 3, skip 1 sc, 1 dc in next sc *, repeat from * - * the entire round and finish with 3 ch and 1 sl st in 3rd ch in beg of round = 8 ch -loops. ROUND 3: Turn piece, * ch 4, 1 sc in next dc, turn the work, ch 2, 6 dc around ch space, 5 dc around the dc from 2nd round. Lean piece to the right and work 1 sl st in dc from 2nd round * = one petal finished. Turn piece and repeat * - * until there are 8 flower petals. Cut the thread. ROUND 4: Use Color III, fasten with 1 sc in one of the ch space from 2nd round. Work 1 sc around the same ch space, ch 5, * 1 sc around next ch space, 5 ch * repeat *-* the entire round and finish with 1 sl st in 2nd sc on round. = 8 ch spaces, turn the piece. ROUND 5: Work as follows in each ch space: * 1 sc, ch 3, 7 tr, 3 ch and 1 sc *. Repeat from *-* the entire round and finish with 1 sl st in 1st sc in beg of round. COLOR CHANGE: To get a nice transition between the color changes, work last sl st on round with the new color as follows: Insert hook in last ch from beg of round, get the new yarn, make a YO with the new color and pull it through st on hook.
