How to crochet royal ridge stitches

In this DROPS video we show you how to crochet a royal ridge stitches. We are showing this double sided decorative crochet texture, which can be applied to many crochet projects. Perfect for potholders, scarves and other pieces that need 2 interesting sides. We have already crocheted a chain row with an odd number of stitches, turned and worked a htr in 3nd ch from hook, and 1 htr in each ch across. The video start when it is 2 htr left, work then 1 htr in the last 2 htr. Turn. Row 1: ch 2, work htr in each htr, but instead of working as usual through the 2 top loops, you work through the loop under the 2 top loops, end row with a htr in turning ch at beg of prev row. Repeat row 1 for royal ridge pattern.

In this DROPS video we show how to crochet chart A.1 for the Elly May shorts in DROPS 162-19. We have already crocheted some rounds so the pattern is clearly visible. Crochet 3 ch (replace 1th tr), 2 tr, A.1, * 5 tr, A.1*, repeat from *-* until 2 tr remain, 2 tr and finish round with 1 sl st in 3rd ch at beg of round. How to crochet the spiral pattern with stripes in DROPS 156-6

In this DROPS video we show how to crochet a spiral pattern with stripes of double crochet (dc) and treble crochet (tr) as for the Miss Moneypenny skirt in DROPS 156-6. We've already worked 5 rows of 33 dc and assembled piece with 1 sl st so that when we start working we work round. * Work 1 dc in back loop of each of the next 7 sts, 1 tr in front loop of st from 2 rows below next st *, repeat from *-* the entire round. Pattern is over 8 sts and no of sts are divisible by 8 + 1. Work in the round without finishing the round, this way the pattern will automatically displace 1 st on every round and form a spiral pattern.
