In this DROPS video we show you how to crochet the Winter Fanfare Wrist Warmer in DROPS 108-25. We have already crocheted 40 chain stitch (ch) and formed a ring with 1 slip stitch (sl st) in first ch. We start video crocheting 4 ch, then 1 st in each st as follows: 1 round with double treble crochet (dtr), 1 round of double crochet (dc), 1 round with dtr, 1 round with dc and 1 round dtr. (crochet tip: Replace first dtr on round with 4 ch and first dc with 1 ch. Finish each round with 1 sl st in first dtr/dc from beg of round). Change color and crochet 1 round with dc. Now we crochet after chart starting from the star. These wrist warmers are made in DROPS Karisma, but in the video we crochet with a thicker yarn, DROPS Snow. In this DROPS video we give you a short overview of how to work a sock with a diamond heel. All stitches remain on the needles while knitting the heel. To make the heel, follow these steps: 1. Knit in the round, gradually increasing stitches at the back of the sock until the desired width and length of the heel have been achieved. 2. Decrease the heel stitches while continuing to knit in the round. 3. Continue knitting towards the toe. 4. The combination of increases and decreases forms a diamond-shaped section at the back of the sock, which is why this type of heel is called a diamond heel.

In this DROPS video we give you a short overview of how to work a garment with European shoulders. The garment is worked according to points 1 – 3. 1 - BACK PIECE: Cast on stitches for the back of the neck. Work the back piece back and forth, increasing stitches on each side until the shoulder stitch count has been achieved. The back piece has slightly diagonal shoulders. Continue working as far as the armholes. The back piece stitches are now placed on a stitch holder and the front piece is worked. 2 - FRONT PIECE: The piece is begun in 2 sections. Start by knitting up stitches along one back shoulder, working pattern back and forth and downwards, while increasing for the neckline. Repeat on the other shoulder. The right and left front pieces are joined when the neckline increases are finished. The front piece is then continued back and forth as far as the armholes. 3 - YOKE: Place the front and back pieces on the same circular needle, joining them together by cast on stitches under each sleeve. The body is continued in the round to the correct measurement.

In this DROPS video we show a pair of mittens before and after felting. To prevent the thumb from felting together, turn the mitten to WS (wrong side) and place a narrow silk ribbon along the thumb. Secure the ribbon with a safety pin – NB: insert the pin vertically towards the tip of the thumb so it is easy to remove after felting. Turn the mitten back to RS (right side) before felting. 1. Place the mittens in the washing machine with a wool detergent that does not contain enzymes or optical brighteners. 2. Wash at 40 °C / 104 °F, normal spin, no pre-wash. 3. Stretch and shape the mittens to the correct measurements while still wet. 4. If they turn out too small: soak in water until completely wet, then stretch back to the desired size. 5. Afterwards, the mittens can be washed as any other wool garment.
