How to make a decoration knot

In this DROPS video we show how to make a knot to be attached as a decoration to a Santa that is worked on a sweater. The same technique is also used to make a star at the top of a Christmas tree sweater. KNOT: Make a knot at the top of every Santa hat/ Christmas tree. Tie the knot around a stitch. Cut 2 lengths of color off white. approx. 10 cm = 4". Place strands together, use a needle and pull strands through the top off white stitch so that both yarn ends are on the right side of piece, on each side of stitch. Tie a knot, then tie another knot but in the opposite direction. Cut the yarn ends approx. ½ cm = 1/8" (Santa) / 1 cm = 2/8" (Christmas tree) long. These sweaters are worked in DROPS Air but in the video, we work with a thicker yarn; DROPS Snow., You must read the pattern to be able to follow this video properly. In this DROPS video we show how to sew / embroider back stitches. Insert the needle from the wrong side and to the right side where you wish the stitch to start. You have worked a stitch with a gap to the next stitch. In this DROPS video we show how to crochet the eyes to the play mouse in DROPS Extra 0-1506. The eyes are crocheted by long single crochet in a stitch 2 rounds below. Crochet like this: Use Color 1 and work 1 single crochet in each of the first 8 single crochets, insert the hook in the next stitch on round 6 (= 2 rounds below), use Color 2 and pull this strand through the stitch, change back to Color 1 and pull the strand through the 2 loops on the hook (= 1 eye/1 long single crochet), work 1 single crochet in each of the next 6 single crochets with Color 1, insert the hook in the next stitch on round 6 (= 2 rounds below), use Color 2 and pull the strand through the stitch, change back to Color 1 and pull the strand through the 2 loops on the hook (= 1 eye/1 long single crochet), work 1 single crochet in each of the last 8 single crochets = 24 stitches. In this DROPS video we show how to attach the beard, moustache and how we sew grafting stitches for the eyes in the Santa sweater in DROPS Children 32-20. BEARD: 1 fringe= 1 strand of 45 cm = 17 3/4" using off-white. Cut 18 fringes.Each fringe is fastened above the purled stitch on the neck of the Santa. Fold the fringe double, thread the loop around the stitch, then thread the strand-ends through the loop and tighten. Fasten a similar fringe in each of the 17 remaining stitches over the purled stitch. Then tie a loose knot using all the strands; tie the knot approx. in the middle of the strands. Trim the beard to the required length. MOUSTACHE: 1 fringe= 1 strand of 7 cm = 2 3/4" using off-white. Cut 8 fringes. Fold the fringes double and thread the loop around a stitch beneath a purled stitch on the face of Santa, then thread the strand-ends through the loop and tighten. Fasten a similar fringe beneath each of the purled stitches. Trim the moustache to the required length. EYES: Using a left-over of black, sew grafting stitches over 3 stitches and sew 1 stitch across the next stitch towards the middle. We use the yarn DROPS Snow in the video.
