Buon lavoro!

Hullo. This pattern has been difficult for me but thanks to your various resources Ive worked it out. I have done the 19cms from the marker and I’m wondering why the pattern says to “then work the last round in the diagram pattern”. Isn’t this the same as if you said work the diagram pattern until piece measures 20, 22, 24 or should I be doing something else?. SInce I stopped increasing Ive been doing K2,P1, K2. Is this what I continue to do? Thanks for your help Philippa BUndey
14.12.2020 - 07:37DROPS Design answered:
Dear Mrs Bundey, after piece measures 19 cm, work now as last round in diagram, ie work in rib K2, P1 all the round until you get the desired length. Happy knitting!

I love the pattern and have done the first part to 12 cms . Now I mark the place where I start the A1 and the first stitch is a purl and then 2 knit and then a purl etc going round and round doing this for 9 rows. ANd then on the 10th row I do a purl a knit then a purl increase, and so on. . I’m used to patterns that tell me what round I’m on. SOrry to not understand. Can you please make it a bit clearer? Thanku

Knitted neck warmer with rib and textured pattern in DROPS Polaris.
DROPS 214-21 |

------------------------------------------------------- START THE PIECE HERE: ------------------------------------------------------- NECK WARMER - SHORT SUMMARY OF PIECE: Worked in the round, top down. NECK WARMER: Cast on 34-36-38 stitches on double pointed needles size 12 mm = US 17 with Polaris. Work rib (purl 1/knit 1) for 12 cm = 4¾". Insert 1 marker in piece, NOW MEASURE PIECE FROM HERE! Work diagram A.1 (17-18-19 times in total on round). Switch to circular needle when needed. REMEMBER THE KNITTING GAUGE! When entire A.1 has been worked vertically, there are 102-108-114 stitches on needle and piece measures approx. 19 cm = 7½" from marker. Then work as last round in diagram stitch until piece measures 20-22-24 cm = 8"-8¾"-9½" from marker. Bind off stitches with knit over knit and purl over purl – make sure to avoid a tight cast-off edge. |
