I want to knit the Drops 212-41 pullover but I don't see any way to figure out what size I would need. Am I just not seeing measurements somewhere?

Dear Mrs Raffaele, measure a similar garment you have and like the shape and compare with the chart at the bottom of written pattern to find out the matching size - read more here. Happy knitting!

Hei Linda.

Bon tricot!

Knitted long sweater in 2 strands DROPS Alpaca Bouclé. Size XS – XXL.
DROPS 212-41 |
|
---------------------------------------------------------- EXPLANATION FOR THE PATTERN: ---------------------------------------------------------- GARTER STITCH (back and forth): Knit all rows. 1 ridge vertically = knit 2 rows. ---------------------------------------------------------- START THE PIECE HERE: ---------------------------------------------------------- SWEATER - SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE PIECE: Work piece back and forth on circular needle bottom up. Work sleeves back and forth on circular needle. BACK PIECE: Cast on 50-54-58-62-66-72 stitches with 2 strands Alpaca Bouclé on circular needle size 9 mm = US 13. Work 2 ridges in GARTER STITCH - read explanation above. Work in stockinette stitch with 5 stitches in garter stitch in each side until piece measures 8-8-8-10-10-10 cm = 3⅛"-3⅛"-3⅛"-4"-4"-4" (= vent), then work in stockinette stitch over all stitches until piece measures 40-42-43-44-44-45 cm = 15¾"-16½"-17"-17¼"-17¼"-17¾". Bind off 1-2-3-3-4-6 stitches on the beginning of the next 2 rows = 48-50-52-56-58-60 stitches. Continue to work until piece measures approx. 55-58-60-62-64-66 cm = 21⅝"-22¾"-24⅜"-25¼"-26". On next row from right side bind off the middle 18-18-20-20-22-22 stitches and finish each shoulder separately (15-16-16-18-18-19 stitches remain for each shoulder). Work and bind off 1 stitch on first row from the neck = 14-15-15-17-17-18 stitches remain on shoulder. Bind off when piece measures 57-60-62-64-66-68 cm = 23⅝"-24⅜"-25¼"-26"-26¾" from cast-on edge – NB! It is important to bind off (do not sew grafting/kitchener stitches), so that the garment keeps its shape. FRONT PIECE: Cast on 50-54-58-62-66-72 stitches with 2 strands Alpaca Bouclé on circular needle size 9 mm = US 13. Work 2 ridges. Work in stockinette stitch with 5 stitches in garter stitch in each side until piece measures 8-8-8-10-10-10 cm = 3⅛"-3⅛"-3⅛"-4"-4"-4" (= vent), then work in stockinette stitch. Work until piece measures 40-42-43-44-44-45 cm = 15¾"-16½"-17"-17¼"-17¼"-17¾" from cast-on edge. Bind off 1-2-3-3-4-6 stitches on the beginning of the next 2 rows = 48-50-52-56-58-60 stitches. Continue to work until piece measures approx. 50-52-53-54-55-56 cm = 19¾"-20½"-21"-21¼"-21⅝"-22". On next row from right side bind off the middle 12-12-14-14-16-16 stitches for neck and finish each shoulder separately (18-19-19-21-21-22 stitches remain for each shoulder). Do not cut the yarn, work right shoulder from here. RIGHT SHOULDER FRONT PIECE: Continue in stockinette stitch, begin from wrong side, and bind off for neck at the beginning of the next rows from wrong side as follows: Bind off 2 stitches 1 time, and bind off 1 stitch 2 times = 14-15-15-17-17-18 stitches. Then work in stockinette stitch and bind off when piece measures 57-60-62-64-66-68 cm = 23⅝"-24⅜"-25¼"-26"-26¾" from cast-on edge. LEFT SHOULDER FRONT PIECE: Continue in stockinette stitch, begin from right side, and bind off at the beginning of the next rows from right side as follows: Bind off 2 stitches 1 time, and bind off 1 stitch 2 times = 14-15-15-17-17-18 stitches. Then work in stockinette stitch and bind off when piece measures 57-60-62-64-66-68 cm = 23⅝"-24⅜"-25¼"-26"-26¾" from cast-on edge. SLEEVES: Cast on 32-32-34-34-36-36 stitches on circular needle size 9 mm = US 13 with Alpaca Bouclé. Work 2 ridges. Continue in stockinette stitch until piece measures 20 cm = 8", now increase 1 stitch in each side by making 1 yarn over inside 1 stitch in each side (purl yarn over twisted on next row to avoid holes). Increase every 4 cm = 1½" 1-2-2-3-4-5 times in total = 34-36-38-40-44-46 stitches. Work until piece measures 47-47-48-47-47-47 cm = 18½"-18½"-19"-18½"-18½"-18½" from cast-on edge. Bind off knitting from right side. Insert 1 marker in each side of sleeve approx. 3-4-7-7-8½-11 cm = 1⅛"-1½"-2¾"-2¾"-3¼"-4⅜" down from bind-off edge – use this marker when sewing sleeves on to front and back piece. ASSEMBLY: Sew shoulder seams together edge to edge. Fasten sleeve in front and back piece inside bind off for armholes. Sew sleeve together from cast-on edge up to marker on sleeve. Sew the last cm = ⅜" from marker and up to bind-off for armholes on front and back piece. Sew side seam down to where ridges begin in the side (= 8-8-8-10-10-10 cm = 3⅛"-3⅛"-3⅛"-4"-4"-4" vent). NECK EDGE: Begin at shoulder seam on one side, use circular needle size 8 mm = US 11 and 2 strands Alpaca Bouclé. Pick up approx. 48 to 62 stitches along the neck edge (number of stitches must be divisible by 2). Work rib in round with knit 1 and purl 1 until rib measures approx. 2½ cm = ⅞". Bind off. |
