I hate diagrams! To me it’s very confusing. I prefer written patterns myself, will not be using this pattern. I’ve torn apart & redid once, enough!! Diagrams, boo, hiss!!!
31.07.2019 - 16:46DROPS Design answered:
Dear Joni, The DROPS patterns are knitted and crocheted by thousands and thousands of people around the world. We understand however that in certain countries, with different knitting/crochet traditions than Scandinavia, our patterns might be written in a way that differs from what some are used to. But of course we want everyone to understand our patterns, so that’s why we have created an extensive library of tutorial videos as well as step by step lessons that explain how to follow the techniques we use and how to read the diagrams in our patterns. Give them a try!

I've looked various times for the diagrams. They are not on the bottom of the web page nor are they located on the bottom of the printed pattern. I've used your patterns in the past to crochet shirts and the diagrams were located on both the web page and printed pattern. I am using Google Chrome to view the page. Thanks in advance!!

Dear Mrs Huie-Eisenhauer, I'm right now on Chrome and can see as well as print whole pattern and diagrams from the US as well as from the UK-English pattern page. Try to clean the cache, there may be anything avoiding you to see diagrams for any reason, close and reopen our website, you should be able to see and print the whole pattern including diagram (when printing make sure to print all pages and not select only some of them to get all pages printed). Happy crocheting!

Crocheted hair band with lace pattern. Piece is crocheted in DROPS BabyMerino.
DROPS 190-7 |

INFORMATION FOR PATTERN: CROCHET INFO: Replace first double crochet at beginning of every row with 3 chain stitches. Finish row with 1 double crochet in 3rd chain stitch from beginning of previous row. PATTERN: See diagrams A.1 and A.2. MEASURING TIP: To get the correct measurement on hair band measure the circumference of the head. Then subtract approx. 8 cm / 3⅛" from this measurement = measurement for hair band. ---------------------------------------------------------- HAIR BAND: Worked in 2 parts. First work a ribbon back and forth with lace pattern. Sew ribbon together mid front. Then work a small ribbon with double crochets and tie this around the hair band mid front. RIBBON WITH LACE PATTERN: Work 17 chain stitches on hook size 3 mm / C with BabyMerino. Work first row as follows: Work 2 double crochets + 3 chain stitches + 2 double crochets in 8th chain stitch from hook, * skip 2 chain stitches, work 2 double crochets + 3 chain stitches + 2 double crochets in next chain stitch *, work from *-* one more time, skip 2 chain stitches and finish with 1 double crochet in last chain stitch. Then work back and forth as shown in A.1, i.e. repeat 2nd and 3rd row until piece measures approx. 48-52 cm/19"/20½" from cast-on edge - read MEASURING TIP. Then work 4th row as shown in A.1. Sew hair band together with 1 stitch in every stitch = mid front. TIE RIBBON: Work 4 chain stitches on hook size 3 mm / C, then work 1 double crochet in 4th chain stitch from hook = 2 double crochets. Read CROCHET INFO and work A.2 back and forth up to A.X. Repeat A.X 3 times in total vertically (= 6 rows), then work A.2. Fasten off. Tie ribbon around hair band mid front so that the seam is hidden. |
