Hi, thank you for your post answering my first questions. I love this jumper in the colours illustrated. Could you kindly let me know, as this pattern is written for knitting this jumper using 1 strand of Alpaca and 1 strand of Kid Silk, the names of the colours in 100 % Alpaca I need to use with the Kid Silk to get the jumper as shown in the picture? So far as I see, ‘Light Grey Green’ is only available in Alpaca Nepal (no 7120). Thanks.

I ordered the wool for this pattern through a uk website called Ritohobby, who have been very helpful. However, the link on their website automatically sent me Drops Alpaca 100% which is a 4 ply wool. 2 questions: 1. Pls can you let me know if this pattern should state Alpaca NEPAL,, which is an Aran - the colours and numbers seems to match, and my tension sample is appropriate with this wool. 2. Is there any reason not to use a circular needle when knitting this pattern? Thanks
26.01.2022 - 10:21DROPS Design answered:
Dear Mrs Brindley, this jumper is worked with 2 strands of yarn group A, ie 1 strand Alpaca + 1 strand Kid-Silk and then you get approximately the thickness of a yarn like aran (= yarn group C like Nepal) - so you can work either with 2 strands yarn group A or 1 strand yarn group C (= Nepal for example). You work here back and forth on circular needle to have enough room for all stitches. Happy knitting!

Hi, I'm new in knitting and I really enjoy it. But I have some troubles in following the pattern. I don't understand how to do the following demand: 'Then cast on new sts in each side for sleeves at the end of every row as follows: 14-14-13-12-11-9 sts 2 times and 15-14-14-12-13-11 sts 1 time = 168-171-173-176-181-182 sts.' I can't find the explanation in any video. Thanks in advance

Dear Mrs Papadopoulou, this video shows how to cast on new stitches at the end of a row from wrong side - in this pattern you need to cast on the new stitches on each side, ie you will cast on new stitches at the end of a row from right side as well as at the end of a row from wrong side (for sleeves). Happy knitting!

Liebe Suzanne, wenn Sie nicht so erfahren im Stricken sind, suchen Sie vielleicht am besten einen trapezförmigen Pullover. Viel Spaß beim stricken!
