It will be of help if a diagram of confection can be showed and/or measure of the first part crocheted, because there is no gauge and have no idea of how the final piece should look.

Crochet DROPS shawl in ”Lace”.
DROPS 152-23 |
|||||||||||||||||||
PATTERN: See diagrams A.1 to A.3 and A.4 to A.6. Diagrams show all rows in pattern seen from RS. Diagrams are divided into 3 parts. A.1 and A.4 are worked in right side, A.2 and A.5 are repeated and A.3 and A.6 are worked in left side. ---------------------------------------------------------- SHAWL: Worked back and forth in two parts. Beg by working one half of the shawl, then work from beg of this half to make the other half. FIRST HALF: Work 151 ch on hook size 4 mm / G/6 with Lace. Turn piece and work back in ch as follows: Beg by working 1 sl st in the 15th ch from hook. Then work along the ch-row as follows: * ch 7, skip 7 ch and work 1 sl st in next ch *. Repeat from *-* the entire row and finish with 1 sl st in the last ch on row = 18 spaces in a line. Turn piece and work according to diagram A.1 to A.3 – READ PATTERN ABOVE. I.e. work as follows: ROW 1: Work ch 4, work 2 tr in first ch-space, 1 ch and 2 tr in same ch-space, * 2 ch and skip to next ch-space, work 2 tr, ch 1, 2 tr in same space *, repeat from *-* the entire row. Turn piece. ROW 2: Work ch 4, *2 tr in next ch-space, 1 ch and 2 tr in same ch-space*. Repeat from *-* the entire row. Continue working as row 2 until piece measures 66 cm / 26". Then work diagram A.4 to A.6. I.e. work as follows: ROW 1: Work ch 4, * 4 tr in next ch-space, 1 ch and 4 tr in same ch-space (= 1 large tr-group), skip to next ch-space *, repeat from *-* the entire row. Turn piece. ROW 2: Work * ch 5, 1 sc in ch from previous row, ch 5, 1 sc between tr-group from previous row *, repeat from *-* the entire row and finish with 1 sc in first 4 ch from beg of previous row. Cut the yarn and pull it through the last st. SECOND HALF: Turn piece and work on the underside of the 18 spaces from beg of first half. Work the same way as first half but beg on ROW 1. SHAPING: Place the piece in lukewarm water until it is soaking wet. Carefully squeeze out the water - do not twist. Then roll the piece in a towel and squeeze to remove more water - the piece will now only be moist. Place the piece on a carpet or mattress - carefully stretch it out to measurements found at the top of pattern. Leave to dry. Repeat the process when the garment has been washed. |
