Olga

Was bedeutet bei jeder 2. Reihe Total drei Mal wiederholen?
13.11.2012 - 14:24DROPS Design answered:

Felted mittens with or without thumb for baby and children in 2 threads DROPS Alpaca
DROPS Baby 17-13 |
|
INCREASING TIP: Inc 1 st by K2 in the same st. --------------------------------------------------------- --------------------------------------------------------- MITTEN WITHOUT THUMB: Worked in the round on double pointed needles. Cast on 42-44-46 (48-50) sts on double pointed needles size 5.5 mm [US 9] with 2 threads Alpaca. Work stockinette st, AT THE SAME TIME dec 6 sts evenly on every other round a total of 3 times = 24-26-28 (30-32) sts. REMEMBER THE KNITTING GAUGE! When piece measures 14-16-17 (19-20) cm [5½"-6¼"-6¾" (7½"-8") insert 2 markers in piece with 12-13-14 (15-16) sts between each. On next round dec 1 st on each side of both markers (= 4 dec per round) and repeat the dec on every other round another 2 times = 12-14-16 (18-20) sts. Now K2 tog all the way round, cut the thread, pull through remaining sts and fasten. Mitten measures approx 17-19-20 (22-23) cm [6¾"-7½"-8" (8¾"-9")]. MITTEN WITH THUMB: Cast on and work like mitten without thumb until piece measures 5-6-7 (8-9) cm [2"-2⅜"-2¾" (3⅛"-3½")]. Now insert 1 marker in first st on round and inc for thumb gusset as follows: Inc 1 st on each side of st with marker on every other round a total of 4-4-4 (5-5) times – SEE INCREASING TIP = 32-34-36 (40-42) sts. After the last inc slip the inc sts + st with marker on a stitch holder = 9-9-9 (11-11) thumb sts. Cast on 1 new st over thumb sts = 24-26-28(30-32) sts. Complete mitten as described for mitten without thumb. THUMB: Slip the 9-9-9 (11-11) thumb sts on double pointed needles size 5.5 mm [US 9] and pick up 2 sts in the inc st on hand = 11-11-11(13-13) sts. Work stockinette st in the round until thumb measures 4-4-5 (6-7) cm [1½"-1½"-2" (2⅜"-2¾")]. Now K2 tog all the way round, cut the thread, pull through remaining sts and fasten. Felt mittens in washing machine – SEE BELOW. After felting shape mittens while still wet. FELTING: Attach a small plastic bag with a safety pin at the top of thumb in order it doesn’t felt tog during the wash. Wash mittens in washing machine at 40 degrees C /104F with detergent free of enzymes and optical bleach (usual spin and no pre-wash). If mittens are too large after felting, you may wash them again. If the mittens are too small, soak them and pull them into the right size. Wash mittens at a wool programme at subsequent washes. AFTER FELTING: If the piece is not felted enough and is too big: Wash the piece one more time in the washing machine while it is still wet add a terry towel that measures approx. 50 x 70 cm = 19¾" x 27½" - NOTE: Do not use a short program. If the piece has been felted too much and is too small: While the piece is still wet stretch it to the correct measurements, if the piece is dry, make sure to soak it first. Remember: All subsequent washes are as a normal wool garment. |
