Bind off to shape the neckline on every other row: 3 sts 2-2-3-3-3 times, 2 sts 3-3-3-3-3 times and 1 m 3-3-4-4-4 times – work sts not fitting into M.1 in stockinette st. After all dec are complete there are 24-24-28-28-28 sts left on shoulder. Bind off when piece measures 62-64-66-68-70 cm [24⅜"-25¼"-26"-26¾"-27½"]. Left front piece: Like right front piece, but mirrored. Sleeves: Work in the round on double pointed needles. When piece measures 50-49-47-45-44 cm [19¾"-19¼"-18½"-17¾"-17¼"] - less on the larger sizes because of longer sleeve cap and wider shoulder – bind off 3 sts on each side of MT and complete piece back and forth on needle. Bind off to shape the sleeve cap each side at the beg of every row: 2 sts 3 times, 1 st 0-2-2-5-7 times, then 2 sts each side until piece measures 56-57-55-56-57 cm [22"-22½"-21⅝"-22"-22½"], now bind off 3 sts each side 1 time and bind off remaining sts. Sleeve measures approx 57-58-56-57-58 cm [22½"-22¾"-22"-22½"-22¾"]. Neckline: Pick up 88 to 100 sts (incl sts from stitch holders) round the neck. Work 6 rows garter st and bind off. Assembly: Sew shoulder seams. Set in sleeves. Sew on buttons. |
