Bon tricot !

|||||||||||||
GARTER ST: K back and forth on row. 1 ridge = 2 rows K. PATTERN: See diagram A.1. Diagram shows all rows in 1 pattern repetition seen from RS. INCREASE TIP: Inc 1 st by making 1 YO, on next row K YO twisted. NOTE! All inc are done on rows which are only worked in garter st, i.e. do not inc on rows with dropped sts. Inc 1 st in each side of shawl inside 1 edge st on EVERY ROW in garter st, and 1 st on each side of the middle 3 sts on EVERY OTHER row in garter st. -------------------------------------------------------- SHAWL: Worked back and forth on circular needle. Cast on 11 sts on circular needle size 7 mm / US 10.75 with Merino Extra Fine. Work as follows: Row 1 (= RS): K 1, 1 YO, K 3, 1 YO, insert 1 marker, K 3, insert 1 marker, 1 YO, K 3, 1 YO and K 1 = 15 sts (4 inc sts). Move the markers upwards when working. Row 2 (= WS): K 1, 1 YO, K until 1 st remains, 1 YO and K 1 = 17 sts (2 inc sts). Row 3: K 1, 1 YO, K until 1st marker, 1 YO, K 3 (= middle st), 1 YO, (2nd marker), K until 1 st remains, 1 YO and K 1 = 21 sts (4 inc sts). Row 4: K 1, 1 YO, K until 1 st remains, 1 YO and K 1 = 23 sts (2 inc sts). Then work diagram A.1 - beg with 5th row in pattern - AT THE SAME TIME inc 1 st in each side of shawl and 1 st on each side of the middle 3 sts - READ INCREASE TIP! Continue with diagram A.1 and inc until piece measures approx. 46 cm / 18" mid vertically (finish with 8th row in pattern), then work 4 ridges - AT THE SAME TIME inc as before. Then bind off with YO (to avoid a tight edge) as follows: * bind off 2 sts, make 1 YO, bind off YO *, repeat from *-* the entire row. |
