Tak for information!

MAGIC CIRCLE: When piece is worked in the round, start with this technique to avoid hole in the middle (instead of ch-ring): Hold the yarn end and wind the yarn one time around the index finger to make a loop. Hold the loop with left thumb and middle finger, place the thread over left index finger. Insert hook through the loop, make a YO and pull thread through loop, work 1 ch. Then work 7 sc in the loop, pull the yarn end to tighten the loop, finish with 1 sl st in ch from beg of round. Continue working in the round in a circle as explained in pattern. CROCHET INFO: Replace first sc at beg of every sc round with ch 1 and finish round with 1 sl st in ch from beg of round. Replace first dc at beg of every dc round with ch 3 and finish round with 1 sl st in 3rd ch from beg of round. TEXTURED PATTERN: ROUND 1: 1 sc in every dc. ROUND 2: 1 dc in every sc. Repeat 1st and 2nd round upwards. ---------------------------------------------------------- BASKET: Make a MAGIC CIRCLE – see explanation above, on hook size 12 mm/ O with Polaris. When this is done, there are 8 sc on round (1st sc = 1 ch). ROUND 2: READ CROCHET INFO. Work 2 dc in every sc = 16 dc. ROUND 3: Work * 1 sc in first dc and 2 sc in next dc *, repeat from *-* the entire round = 24 sc. ROUND 4: Work * 1 dc in each of the first 2 sc and 2 dc in next sc *, repeat from *-* the entire round = 32 dc. ROUND 5: Work * 1 sc in each of the first 3 dc, 2 sc in next dc*, repeat from *-* the entire round = 40 sc. ROUND 6: Work * 1 dc in each of the first 4 sc and 2 dc in next sc *, repeat from *-* the entire round = 48 dc. ROUND 7: Work 1 sc in every dc = 48 sc. ROUND 8: Work *1 dc in each of the first 5 sc, 2 dc in next sc*, repeat from *-* the entire round = 56 dc. The base is now done and piece measures approx. 30 cm / 11¾" in diameter. Insert 1 marker in outermost round – NOW MEASURE PIECE FROM HERE! Continue in the round with TEXTURED PATTERN – see explanation above! REMEMBER THE CROCHET GAUGE! When piece measures approx. 18 cm / 7" from marker - adjust so that next round is a round with sc - work next round as follows: 1 sc in each of the first 9 dc, ch 10, skip 10 dc, 1 sc in each of the next 18 dc, ch 10, skip 10 dc and 1 sc in each of the last 9 dc. Work 1 round with 1 dc in every sc and 12 dc around each ch-space = 60 dc. Then work 1 round with 1 sc in every dc and finally 1 round with 1 sl st in every sc, cut and fasten the thread. Piece measures approx. 23 cm / 9" vertically. |
