How to decrease to a toe in a sock.

In this DROPS video we show you how to decrease the toe in the sock in DROPS 189-36. We have already inserted 1 marker in each side of the foot. Decrease to toe on each side of each marker as follows: Work until there are 3 stitches left before the marker, knit 2 stitches twisted together, knit 2 (the marker sits in the middle of these 2 stitches) and knit 2 together, repeat at the second marker. Decrease like this every round until there are 8 stitches left, knit 2 and 2 stitches together on the next round = 4 stitches. Cut the strand and pull it through the stitches a couple of times, tighten and fasten well. These socks are knitted in DROPS Karisma, but in the video we work with a thicker yarn; DROPS Snow. How to finish a knitted sock with big toe

In this DROPS video we show how we work the end of a sock with toe decrease and big toe. How to work the slippers in DROPS 203-37

In this DROPS video we show how to work the “Carrot Squash” slippers in DROPS 203-37. We have already cast on stitches for size 35/37 and start the video by showing round 1 (only Knit). Then the rib, K1, P1. After the rib put 31 stitches on a stitch holder, work the other stitches back and forth. Then work these stitches, the new pickup stitches along the sides and the stitches from the stitch holder, and work around again. Decrease stitches and work around to finish measurement, cast off and fold the slipper and sew under foot in the outermost loop of the outermost stitch. How to start a sock with a flounce

In this DROPS video we show how to start a sock with a flounce, like the “Dainty Duo” socks in DROPS 229-19. We cast on with 2 strands, but continue with 1 strand. Then we knit 4 rounds and on the next round we knit all stitches together 2 by 2. Then we work a rib (knit 1 twisted/purl 1). How to felt the the slippers with crochet border in DROPS 134-37

In this DROPS video we show the slipper in DROPS 134-37 knitted in DROPS Polaris before and after felting. Place the slippers in the washing machine with a detergent without enzymes and optical bleach. Wash warm at 40C with normal spin but no pre-wash. After wash shape the slippers into the right size while still wet and leave to dry flat. If the slippers are too small, put them in water until they are thoroughly wet, and then stretch to right size. At subsequent wash, wash the slippers at regular wool programme. How to knit the rib with displacement on the socks in DROPS 150-20

In this DROPS video we show how to get the rib on the left sock in DROPS 150-20 to twist to the right. Insert 1 marker in a K (knit) stitch in each side of the sock according to the pattern. At the first st with marker dec on every round by slipping the K st , K the next st and pass the slipped stitch over. Continue rib with K over K and P over P until you get to the next marker in the other side. Now make a yo before the K st, and repeat on every round. On next round K YO twisted (i.e. knit in the back loop of st) and make a new yo right before the K st with marker. We knit several rounds to show the procedure and finally we show how it looks when you have knitted about 20 rounds. In the pattern there are more sts on the sock than what we show in the video and therefore more stitches between the 2 markers. In this DROPS video we show you how to knit the Jupiter socks in DROPS 167-34. In the video we show size 35/37, and we have knitted half the amount of ridges than stated in the pattern.
