How to work a diagonal shoulder, cast on stitches for the neckline and work the back piece together

In this DROPS video, we show you how to work each front piece with diagonal shoulders and short rows, the piece is worked bottom up. Then we show how to increase stitches for the neckline and join the shoulders for the back piece, then continue working top down. An I-cord band is worked on each side. We have already worked one section of the front piece and decreased stitches for the neckline. The video shows how we work 6 short rows (German short rows) on the right front piece, creating a diagonal shoulder. Then we show how to increase 1 stitch 3 times towards the neckline, which is now the back piece. Then we show the same for the left shoulder and finally cast on 12 stitches between the shoulders before the shoulders are knitted together. We use the yarn DROPS Snow in the video. This technique is used among other things in pattern DROPS 255-9, Driftwood Vest, with a different stitch count, number of short rows and cast-on stitches. In this DROPS video we show how to decrease a neck and how to work a diagonal shoulder, used in the «Unexpected» vest in DROPS 218-21. We only work the last part of the vest and we use the stitch numbers from the smallest size. This vest is worked in DROPS Alpaca Bouclé and DROPS Kid-Silk but in the video we work with only 1 yarn; DROPS Nepal. How to decrease to a V-neck

In this DROPS video we show how to decrease to a V-neck, used in the «Unexpected» vest in DROPS 218-21. We only work the last part of the front piece where we show how to work 5 garter stitches in the middle, how to place stitches on 1 thread, decrease 1 stitch before / after the 5 middle stitches and how to knit up stitches at the back of the 5 garter stitches at the bottom of the V-neck. We use the number of stitches after the smallest size, but do not have the same numbers of rows between each decrease. How to work a last row with diagonal shoulder and cast off

In this DROPS video we show how to work the last row where the shoulder is cast off diagonal, used in the «Unexpected» vest in DROPS 218-21. We have already worked 2 short parts and show only the last row and cast off on 1 piece. Knit 1 row from the wrong side, to avoid leaving a hole in the transition where the stitches were placed on a thread, pick up the loop before the next stitch and knit it twisted together with the first stitch on the left needle. Then loosely cast off with knit from the right side. Repeat along the 3 other shoulders. Sew the shoulder seams inside the cast-off edge – make sure the seam is not tight. This vest is worked in DROPS Alpaca Bouclé and DROPS Kid-Silk but in the video we work with only 1 yarn; DROPS Nepal. How to knit the lace pattern in DROPS 118-38

In this DROPS video we show how to knit the lace pattern along the edge of the waistcoat in DROPS 118-38. We have already knitted 1 repeat in height. We start at the bottom right corner of the chart. We knit first row in pattern from right to left. Next row is knitted from WS following the chart from left to right. Follow the chart in the pattern. This waistcoat is made in DROPS Safran, but in the video we knit with a thicker yarn; DROPS Snow. You must read the pattern and look at the charts to be able to follow. How to knit M.1 in DROPS 117-20

In this DROPS video we show you how to knit chart M.1 for the waistcoat in DROPS 117-20. In this video we have 2 edge sts in garter st in each side, we knit M.1 two times and we have already knitted 2 reports of the chart in height. How to pick up stiches on vest in DROPS 173-39

In this DROPS video we show how to pick up sts along one side on the cable border on the Millicent vest in DROPS 173-39. We only show a small part of cable border and we are knitting only on one side. This top is knitted in DROPS Puna, but in the video we knit with a thicker yarn, DROPS Snow.
