Short rows in garter st - with wrap

Keywords: garter stitch, short rows, vest,

When working short rows you can shape the garment by making soft curves or give a better fit by creating bust darts.
Short rows are partially worked rows before turning. By turning with a wrap you avoid a hole at the turning point.
Short row in garter st: Work number of sts told in pattern, slip following st purl-wise, place yarn in front of work, slip st back on left needle, turn and work the row back. When knitting next row and getting to the st with wrap; knit wrap and stitch together as one stitch and then finish row.

To see a pattern with this technique, see: DROPS 133-3 or the picture to the left.

Alvast bedankt.

When working the bottom edge, do I work Row 1 for the left back, then Row 1 for the left front, then Row 1 for the right front piece, and Row 1 for the right back piece, then work Row 2 for all the different pieces OR do I work the Left Back piece until Row 8, and then move on to the Left Front piece, and work all 8 rows for it, etc.?
