Gauge: 6 sts x 7 rows in stockinette st = 10 x 10 cm [4" x 4"].

Garter st, when knitting flat: Knit all sts, all rows.

Pattern: See chart. One chart = 1 repeat. The pattern is seen from the right side.

Cape: Cast on 99-105 sts with double yarn. Change to single-strand yarn and knit Pattern 1 one time, keeping the edge st at each side (center front) in garter st throughout. After the Pattern, continue in stockinette st, decreasing 12-13 sts evenly distributed on the 1st row = 87-92 sts.
Dec 13-14 sts evenly distributed when the work measures approx. 26-27 cm [10.25" - 10-5/8"].
Dec 13-14 sts evenly distributed when the work measures 31-33 cm [12.25" - 13"].
Dec 14-15 sts evenly distributed when the work measures 35-39 cm [13.75" - 15.25"] = 47-49 sts on the needles. Now knit 4 rows of garter st over all sts before binding off with double yarn, decreasing 8-8 sts evenly distributed on the row as you bind off. The work measures approx. 40-45 cm [15.75" - 17.75"].
Crochet 1 row with long slip sts along the bound-off edge to make this edge stronger.

Twisted cord (make 2): Cut 4 strands approx. 120 cm [47.25"] long. Secure one end of all 4 strands and attach to a stationary object. Secure the other end of all 4 strands to a knitting needle. Twist the strands until they start to resist, pull the twisted yarn halfway through the 2nd bound-off neck-st from the front edge (the second cord will go on the other edge), fold the strands double and they will twist themselves. Knot the ends.

All measurements in charts are in cm.

DROPS Design 08.04.2008 - 09:22:

Hej, vr = avig, 1 kast = 1 omslag 1m lös av p = lyft 1 maska löst av st

C. Gunnarsson 07.04.2008 - 21:44:
