WRIST WARMERS:
Worked in the round on double pointed needles.
Cast on 36 sts with double yarn.
Cut one strand and continue working with 1 strand.
Work rib = K 2/P 2 until piece measures approx. 4 cm / 1½''.
Then work in stockinette st for 3.5 cm / 1 1/4'' - REMEMBER THE KNITTING GAUGE.
Beg inc for thumb gusset as follows on next round:
ROUND 1: Make 1 YO, K 2, make a YO and K the rest of round.
ROUND 2 and all even numbered rounds on thumb gusset: K all YOs twisted, K the rest of sts.
ROUND 3: Make 1 YO, K 4, make 1 YO and K the rest of round.
ROUND 5: Make 1 YO, K 6, make 1 YO and K the rest of round.
Continue inc like this with YO on each side of the inc sts until a total of 12 sts have been inc and there are 14 sts in gusset.
On next round bind off the 14 sts in thumb gusset and then K in the round.
Cast on 2 new sts behind thumb gusset and continue in the round with stockinette st for 2 cm / 3/4''. Then work rib = K 2/P 2 for 2 cm / 3/4''.
Loosely bind off sts with K over K and P over P and double yarn.
Knit another wrist warmer the same way.

NECK WARMER:
Worked in the round on circular needle. Cast on 96 sts with double yarn.
Cut one strand and continue working with 1 strand.
Work rib = K 2/P 2 until piece measures approx. 4 cm / 1½''.
On next round, work as follows: Insert a marker, work the first 12 sts in rib as before, K 70, work the last 14 sts in rib as before. Continue in the round with rib over 26 sts and in stockinette st over the other 70 sts until piece measures approx. 12 cm / 4¾''.
Then work short rows as follows to make a tip at the front:
Work the first 12 sts in rib, then 70 sts in stockinette st, turn and P back until 12 sts in rib remain, turn.
Work as before but turn when 2 sts in stockinette st remain before rib, turn. P back until 2 sts P remain before rib in the other side, turn.
Continue to work and turn 2 sts before last time you turned piece until only 6 sts remain mid front. Work 1 round over all sts back until rib.
Continue to work rib in the round for approx. 4 cm / 1½''.
Loosely bind off with double yarn, K over K and P over P (make a YO after every other st and bind off YO as a st).
