Gauge: 14 sts x 19 rows on larger needles in stockinette st = 10 x 10 cm.

Rib: * K 3, P 5 *, repeat from * - *.

Knitting tips (for neckband):
All decs are made on right side rows. Dec inside 10 edge sts in garter st (which are later increased for collar) as follows:
After garter st edge sts: Sl 1 as if to knit, K 1, psso. Before garter st edge sts: K 2 tog.

Measuring tips: Due to the weight and stretchiness of the garment, make all measurements when the garment is held up. Otherwise, it will be too long when worn.

Front: Cast on 82-90-98-106 sts on smaller needles. Knit rib, keeping 1 edge st at each side in garter st, for 6 cm. Change to larger needles and stockinette st.
Read the entire section before knitting.
V-neck: When the piece measures 24-26-27-30 cm – read Measuring tips – knit 2 rows garter st over the center 10 sts (remaining sts knit as before). Then put 36-40-44-48 sts from one side on a st holder = 46-50-54-58 sts remain on needles. Continue in stockinette st, keeping the 10 sts at the neck edge in garter st (= collar), and dec for V-neck inside the 10 sts in garter st – see knitting tips above: dec 1 st every 6 rows 3 times and then every 8 rows 3 times. At the same time, after 3 decs, also inc 1 st in the garter st edge sts for collar every 8 rows 4 times = 14 sts in garter st at the neck edge – inc 1 st by pulling up a st from the previous row and knitting it.
Armhole: When the piece measures 35-36-38-40 cm bind off 2 sts at the side for armhole.
After all shaping is complete 42-46-50-54 sts remain on needles (= 28-32-36-40 shoulder sts and 14 sts in garter st for collar).
When the piece measures 54-56-59-62 cm put the 14 sts in garter st on a st holder and bind off the shoulder sts.
Put the 36-40-44-48 sts on st holder for the other side back on needles. Pick up 10 sts at the neck edge (behind the sts in garter st already at neck edge on the other side – so there will be two layers of sts at the neck edge).
Knit the same as first side, reversing shaping.

Back: Cast on and knit the same as the front. Bind off for armhole as on front (but do not bind off for neck) = 78-86-94-102 sts. Continue until the piece measures 52-54-57-60 cm. Now bind off the center 20 sts for the neck. On the next row dec 1 st at each neck edge = 28-32-36-40 sts remain on each shoulder. Bind off when the piece measures 54-56-59-62 cm.

Sleeve: Cast on 34-34-42-42 sts on smaller needles. Knit rib, keeping 1 edge st at each side in garter st, for 15 cm. Change to larger needles and stockinette st. After the rib inc 1 st at each side every 2.5-2-2.5-2 cm a total of 10-11-8-10 times = 54-56-58-62 sts. When sleeve measures 40-38-36-34 cm bind off 5 sts at each side for sleeve cap every other row 2 times. Bind off the remaining sts, the piece measures approx. 42-40-38-36 cm.

Assembly: Sew shoulder seams.
Neckband: Put the 14 sts in garter st from st holder back on larger needles and knit garter st until edge measures approx. 8 cm from shoulder, put sts on a st holder. Repeat on the other side and sew the neckband together at center back. Sew neckband to back neck edge with the seam on the right side so it does not show when the collar is folded out. Sew in sleeves. Sew sleeve and side seams using edge sts as a seam allowance.

All measurements in charts are in cm.

Was bedeuted beim Rückenteil gegen den Hals abketten?

Trish Hopkins 15.04.2015 - 01:47:

I have finished the sleeve to 56 stitches and 38cms and ready to decrease. Do I bind off 5 on the knit row followed by bind off 5 on the purl, knit 1 row and purl 1 row, bind off 5 on knit row then 5 on purl row then bind of the remaining 36 sts (which should take me to 40 cms)?

DROPS Design 15.04.2015 kl. 08:55:

Dear Mrs Hopkins, to shape the cap of sleeve bind off 5 sts at the beginning of each row (from RS + from WS) a total of 2 times: *from RS bind off 5 sts, work remaining sts on row, turn and bind off 5 sts, work remaining sts on row*, repeat one more time from *-* = a total of 4 rows. Happy knitting!

Meinalda 04.11.2014 - 13:22:

Jessica 12.08.2014 - 02:16:

I am having difficulty understanding how to decrease at the vneck. Can anyone help? the pattern doesn't seem clear to me...

DROPS Design 12.08.2014 kl. 12:06:

Dear Jessica, decrease for neckline are done from the RS after the 10 sts in garter st (right side of neckline) or before the 10 sts in garter st (left side of neckline). Happy knitting!

Gabi Deffner 13.06.2012 - 15:38:

Hallo Ihr Lieben Drops Designer!
