Pattern: Worked on front pieces and bottom of sleeves.
Row 1, RS: P all sts.
Row 2, WS: K all sts.
Row 3-8: Work all sts in reverse stocking st.
Row 9: * P5, pull thread through next st, slip st back on left needle and P this st and next st tog *, repeat from *-*.
Row 10: K all sts.
Repeat row 3 to 10, but shift pattern so that the slipped st sits between 2 slipped sts from previous row.

Body piece:
Worked back and forth on circular needle from mid front. Cast on 127-142 sts on needle size 2.5 mm and work 5 rows stocking st, P 1 row (= folding edge), 5 cm stocking st. Change to needle size 6.5 mm and work 4 cm stocking st. Now cast off 21-23 sts each side towards mid front (sts are picked up here later to knit the patterned front pieces) = 85-96 sts and continue in stocking st until piece measures 30 cm from folding edge. Now divide the piece for armholes as follows: 12-14 sts on each front piece and 61-68 sts on back piece and complete each piece separately.

Back piece: = 61-68 sts. Cast off for armhole each side on every 4th row: 2 sts 1 time and 1 st 2 times = 53-60 sts. When piece measures 56-58 cm from folding edge cast off the middle 11-12 sts for neck and complete each side separately. Cast off to shape the neckline on every other row: 2 sts 2 times. Cast off remaining 17-20 sts on shoulder when piece measures 58-60 cm from folding edge.

Right front piece: = 12=14 sts. Cast off for armhole at side as described for back piece = 8-10 sts. When piece measures 58-60 cm from folding edge cast off all sts. Now pick up 54-56 sts along front edge on needle size 6.5 mm and work patterned front piece from bottom to top (from A to B, see chart). Work pattern until piece measures 8-9 cm, and now cast off for neck at the right side of piece on every 3rd row: 1 st 3 times and 2 sts 1 time = 49-51 sts. When piece measures 19-21 cm cast off all sts on 4th row in pattern.

Left front piece: Like right front piece, but mirrored.

Sleeves: Cast on 51-53 sts on needle size 2.5 mm and work 2 cm stocking st back and forth on needle, P 1 row (= folding edge), 2 cm stocking st. Change to needle size 6.5 mm and continue in pattern, at the same time dec 23 sts evenly on first row = 28-30 sts. When pattern measures approx 9 cm (finish on row 10) continue in stocking st, at the same time inc 7-9 sts evenly on row. Now inc 1 st each side on every 3rd row a total of 17-18 times = 69-75 sts. Now cast off for sleeve cap each side on every other row: 1 st 3 times and 3 sts 1 time. Work 1 row and cast off remaining 57-63 sts.

Assembly: Join shoulders. Fold bottom edge of jacket double towards Ws and fasten. Fold front edge approx 1 cm towards WS and fasten. Pick up approx 51-55 sts round neckline on small circular needle size 4 mm and work rib, K1 into back of loop/P1, back and forth on needle for 12 cm, cast off. Fold edge double towards WS and fasten. Make 6 buttonhole loops and attach to right front piece, 1 at neckline,1 at the bottom and the rest with approx 12 cm between each. Sew sleeve seams and fold edge double towards WS and fasten. Set in sleeves.
