Pattern: See diagram. The diagram shows the pattern from the RS and the entire pattern is worked in stockinette st.
1 rute = 1 square = 1 st x 1 row
Mønster 3: M.3, 1 repeat = 32 sts x 16 rows
Mønster 2: M.2, 1 repeat = 16 sts x 16 rows
Mønster 1: M.1, 1 repeat = 8 sts x 8 rows.
1 stripe = M.1: 4 rounds, M.2: 8 rounds, M.3: 16 rounds. Work the stripes in the following order throughout: orange, yellow, lilac.

Body piece:
Worked in the round on circular needle. Cast on 144-152 sts on needle size 4.5 mm / US 7 with Vienna and P 4 rounds. Now pick up the sts from cast on row with a cable needle and work next round as follows: * K tog 1 st from needle and 1 st from cable needle *, repeat from *-* = 144-152 sts.
Now work 20 rounds M.1 (= 5 stripes). Change to needle size 5 mm / US 8 and continue in stockinette st in Vienna, at the same time inc 8-16 sts evenly on first round = 152-168 sts.
When piece measures 32-34 cm / 12½"-13½" divide the piece in 2 and complete front and back pieces separately.

Back piece:
Continue in stockinette st until piece measures 60-62 cm / 23½"-24½" and now bind off the middle 14 sts for neck and complete each side separately. Bind off to shape the neckline on every other row: 4 sts 2 times. Bind off remaining 23-27 sts on shoulder when piece measures 62-64 cm / 24½"-25 1/4".

Front piece:
Continue in stockinette st until piece measures 55-57 cm / 21½"-22½" and now cast of the middle 10 sts for neck and complete each side separately.
Bind off to shape the neckline on every other row: 3 sts 2 times and 1 st 4 times.
Bind off remaining sts as described for back piece.

Sleeves:
Worked in the round on double pointed needles. Cast on 48 sts on double pointed needles size 4.5 mm / US 7 with Vienna and P 4 rounds. Now work double edge as described for body piece.
Continue with 16 rounds of M.1 (= 4 stripes). K 1 round with Vienna, at the same time inc 8 sts evenly = 56 sts. Now work 16 rounds of M.1 (= 4 stripes), at the same time inc 2 sts mid under arm on every other round a total of 20 times = 96 sts. NOTE: keep 2 sts mid under arm in Vienna throughout and inc 1 st on each side of these. After M.1 work 32 rounds of M.2 (= 4 stripes) and then complete piece with 16 rounds of M.3 (= 1 stripe). Bind off after M.3, piece measures approx 40 cm / 15 3/4''.

Assembly: Sew shoulder seams. Pick up approx 80 sts round neckline on circular needle size 4.5 mm / US 7 with Vienna and work 8 rounds of M.2 (= 1 stripe), P 3 rounds in Vienna and then 10 rounds stockinette st in Vienna.
Bind off and fold edge double towards WS and fasten. Set in sleeves.
