Hi, i am a bit confused as to what happens to the 4 st placed on a at holder on the body. I watched the video on how to add the sleeve, nut I don't see instructions regarding the 4 st
29.09.2017 - 09:33DROPS Design answered:
Dear Ruzanne, these sts will be sewn together to the 4 sts cast off at the end of sleeve (before raglan), ie you will close the hole under sleeve with a seam. Happy knitting!

DROPS Jumper in «Vienna» and «Ull-Bouclé» med raglan and scarf of crochet squares in «Karisma Superwash».

Knitting tension: 9 stitches x 13 with needle size 9 mm and 1 strand Vienna and 1 strand Ull-Bouclé and stocking stitch = 10 x 10 cm. Remember needle size is only a guide! Ridge/Garter stitch (in the round): 1 ridge = 2 rounds. Knit 1 round and purl 1 round. Ridge/Garter stitch (back and forth on needle): Knit 2 rows. ---------------------------------------------------------------- Body: Cast on 84-92-100 stitches with circular needle size 8 mm and 1 strand Vienna and 1 strand Ull-Bouclé. Work 2 ridges. Change to circular needle size 9 mm and continue as follows: 4 stitches garter stitch (= side), 38-42-46 stitches stocking stitch (= front piece), 4 stitches garter stitch (= side), 38-42-46 stitches stocking stitch (= back piece). Continue upwards in this way. Remember the knitting tension! When piece measures 34-36-37 cm place the 4 stitches garter stitch in each side on a thread for armhole. Lay the piece to one side and work sleeves. Sleeve: The sleeves are worked back and forth with circular needle. Cast on 22-24-24 stitches with circular needle size 8 mm and 1 strand Vienna and 1 strand Ull-Bouclé. Work garter stitch for 5 cm. Change to circular needle size 9 mm and continue with stocking stitch, but 2 stitches in each side are worked in garter stitch. At the same time, (after the ridges) increase in each side inside the 2 stitches in garter stitch: 1 stitch x 8-8-9 every 5-5-4.5 cm = 38-40-42 stitches - the increased stitches are worked in stocking stitch. When piece measures 45-46-46 cm cast off the 2 garter stitch stitches in each side. Yoke: Now place the sleeves on the same circular needle as the body where you have decreased for armholes = 144-156-168 stitches on needle. Insert 1 marker thread in all transitions between sleeves and body = 4 marker threads. Continue with stocking stitch upwards at the same time as you decrease to raglan. Raglan decrease: Read the whole of the next section before continuing. There are 8 decreases per round and 2 stitches between decreases (i.e. 1 stitch on each side of each marker thread). Decrease on each side of the marker threads: 1 stitch x 13-14-15 every 2nd round. You decrease a total of 104-112-120 stitches to raglan. All decreases are worked from the right side as follows: Before marker thread: K2 together. After marker thread: Slip 1 stitch, K1, pass slipped stitch over. At the same time: When there are 2-3-3 raglan decreases left to do (piece measures approx. 52-54-56 cm) place the 6-6-8 stitches mid front on 1 thread for neck. Then decrease to neck: 1 stitch x 1-2-2 every 2nd round. After all decreases to raglan and neck, there are 32-34-36 stitches on needle, piece measures approx. 56-58-60 cm up to shoulder. Neck: Knit up with double pointed needles size 8 mm and 1 strand Vienna and 1 strand Ull-Bouclé: 48 stitches around neck as follows: Knit up 3-3-2 stitches on each side of neck decreases in front and increase 4-2-0 stitches over stitches between raglan decreases at back - incl. stitches on needle and on thread at front = 48 stitches. Work rib * K4, P4 *, as follows: K4 stitches over each of the 4 raglan decreases, P4, K4, P4 over front and back pieces and P4 over the stitches left from sleeve. Cast off when neck measures approx. 12 cm. Assembly: Sew sleeve seams with invisible stitches in outermost loop of outermost stitch, sew with 1 strand Vienna. Sew together the openings under the sleeves so that you have an elastic seam. Scarf. ____________________________________ Size: approx. 30 x 160 cm.
