The part that says ‘AT THE SAME TIME WHEN PIECE MEASURES 7cm continue in the round in stocking stitch- purl the 6 sts mid front on first round , and then work them in stocking stitch. After all inc. are complete work 1 round stocking st and cast off loosely. Could someone explain it to me please?
06.10.2020 - 11:37DROPS Design answered:
Dear Barbara, you first work back and forth increasing as previously explained, but when piece measures 7 cm you will now continue working in the round (and not in rows anymore) - you then continue in stocking stitch (increasing as before) with 6 stitches in garter stitch on mid front (= first 3 sts of the round + last 3 sts of the round) to make a small edge on vent. Happy knitting!

Bon tricot!

Sorry, I didn't ask it correctly. My question is about the stitches I pick up from the stitch holder. If I add 6 to the 9 I picked up from the stitch marker which end of the RS do I add the 6 to? Thank you
17.09.2020 - 14:20DROPS Design answered:
Dear Mrs Whited, on the 2nd part of slippers, if you worked from RS the 9 sts before slipping them on a thread, cast on the new 6 sts first then work the 9 sts from WS (= the 6 new sts should be at the end of the row, see from RS). Happy knitting!

Jessy Whited wrote:
I am working on the booties and am confused with the adding 6 stitches on the second half. Do they need to be on the side of RS that is near the body of the booties or at the end of the row near the split? thank you
17.09.2020 - 13:13DROPS Design answered:
Dear Mrs Whisted, from RS you work the first 9 or 10 sts (see size) and slip them on a thread/stitch holder - then work the remaining 9 or 10 sts on needle, turn and work WS row, at the end of this WS row cast on the 6 new sts, turn and from RS work the first 6 sts in garter stitch and the remaining sts in stocking stitch as before (with short rows over the sts in garter st). Happy knitting!
