Hei Ellen. Du skal strikke med to traade DROPS Alpaca - altsaa to separate tråder / separate nøster

Hvordan syr man en løs søm op og ned i sømmen langs vanten?
31.01.2013 - 16:17DROPS Design answered:

Increasing tip: Inc 1 st by working 2 sts in 1 st. MITTEN Worked back and forth on needle in stockinette st. Cast on 52-52-56 sts on needle size 5.5 mm [US 9] with 2 threads Alpaca. Work stockinette st until piece measures 5 cm [2"]. Remember the knitting gauge! Now dec 8 sts evenly on row = 44-44-48 sts. When piece measures 12-13-14 cm [4¾"-5⅛"-5½"] insert a Marking Thread (MT) in st 22-22-24 (= to mark the thumb). Now inc 1 st on each side of st with MT on every other row a total of 6-7-8 times – see Increasing tip = 56-58-64 sts. On next row slip the inc sts + st with MT + 1 st either side of all these sts on a stitch holder for thumb (15-17-19 thumb sts), and cast on 3 new sts behind the thumb sts = 44-44-46 sts on row. Piece measures approx 18-20-22 cm [7"-8"-8¾"]. Continue in stockinette st back and forth on these sts. When piece measures 32.5 -35.5-38.5 cm [12¾"-13⅞"-15⅛"] work all sts tog 2 by 2 = 22-22-23 sts left on row. Pull a double thread through these, tighten threads and fasten securely. Piece now measures 33-36-39 cm [13"-14¼"-15¼"]. Thumb: Slip the 15-17-19 thumb sts back on double pointed needle size 5.5 mm [US 9] and pick up 5 sts in the edge of the 3 inc sts on hand = 20-22-24 sts. Work stockinette st in the round. When thumb measures approx 6-6-6.5 cm [2⅜"-2⅜"-2½"] work the first 4-4-6 sts on round tog 2 by 2, and the last 4-4-6 sts on round tog 2 by 2 = 16-18-18 sts. Work 2 rounds. On next round work the first 4 sts on round tog 2 by 2 and the last 4 sts on round tog 2 by 2 = 12-14-14 sts. When thumb measures 8.5-8.5-9 cm [3¼"-3¼"-3½"] work all sts tog 2 by 2 = 6-7-7 sts. Thumb measures 9-9-9.5 cm [3½"-3½"-3¾"]. Pull a double thread through remaining sts, tighten and fasten securely Assembly: Sew side seams in the outer loops of sts. Crochet border: Crochet a border round the opening of mitten with crochet hook size 7 mm [US K/10½] and 2 threads Puddel as follows: 1 sc, * 3 ch, skip approx 1-1.5 cm [3/8"-½"], 1 sc *, repeat from *-* and finish with 1 sl st in sc from beg of round. With 2 threads Puddel sew a very loose seam, up and down, the side seam of mitten. Let the Puddel threads sit in small loops on top of seam. Felt mittens in the washing machine – see below. To ensure the best possible fit, put the mittens on while they are still wet so that they form to your hand in the right size Felting: Attach a small plastic bag to the top of thumb with a safety pin to avoid it felting tog. Wash mittens in washing machine with a powder free of enzymes and optical bleach, at 40 C/104F with normal spin and without pre-wash. If after felting, the mittens are too big, you can felt them again. If they are too small, thoroughly wet them and pull into the right shape and size. At subsequent washes, wash the mittens at a wool programme. AFTER FELTING: If the piece is not felted enough and is too big: Wash the piece one more time in the washing machine while it is still wet add a terry towel that measures approx. 50 x 70 cm = 19¾" x 27½" - NOTE: Do not use a short program. If the piece has been felted too much and is too small: While the piece is still wet stretch it to the correct measurements, if the piece is dry, make sure to soak it first. Remember: All subsequent washes are as a normal wool garment. |
