Oto nasza propozycja: Safran kolory 05 i 70. Ostateczny wybór należy do Ciebie :) Pozdrawiamy!

Having chosen to knit this pattern, I am struggling to find the correct shades in the appropriate yarns as illustrated in the pattern photo. My usual supplier is Wool warehouse. Please would you be able to help me? Thank you.

Dear Mrs Gordon, it might be easier for you to directly contact your DROPS stores, they will help you to find the best colours matching the lattest shadecards in the different yarns/alternatives. Happy knitting!

16.02.2018 - 08:35DROPS Design answered:
Hallo Estha, Goede vraag.

Bon tricot!

I agree with Margot that it is a somewhat older pattern; but, this look is back in style again as well as a lot of the 70's and 80's looks. I'm making a white one to go with leggings. I may add a hood to it as well. I love this sweater.

Safran in flieder Nr. 08.

Stripe Pattern-sleeve: 14 cm (incl. rib) with 1 strand apple green Alpaca + 1 strand lime green Vivaldi 12 cm with 1 strand lilac Cotton Viscose + 1 strand lime green Vivaldi 12 cm with 1 strand lilac Cotton Viscose + 1 strand lilac Safran then knit with 1 strand lilac Safran + 1 strand mint Vivaldi until the sleeves are put together with Body (this will be the same stripe color as on Body) then change to 1 strand periwinkle Safran + 1 strand mint Vivaldi to finished measurements (for all parts). Knitting tips (for raglan shaping): Dec 1 st in each transition between sleeve and body as follows (start 3 sts before the marker): K 2 tog, K 2 (the marker sits between these 2 sts), slip 1 st as if to knit, K 1, psso. Body: Cast on 120-130-140-160-170 sts on smaller circular needles with 1 strand apple green Alpaca + 1 strand lime green Vivaldi (= 2 strands); join and place a marker at the join. Following Stripe Pattern for front/back – see instructions above – K 1 row, then knit 4 cm Rib – see instructions above. Change to larger circular needles and reverse stockinette st (P all rows), adjusting on the first row (inc if needed) to 120-132-144-160-174 sts. Put a marker at each side (60-66-72-80-87 sts between markers). When the piece measures 12 cm inc 1 st at each side of each marker every 8 cm a total of 3 times = 132-144-156-172-186 sts. When the piece measures 33-34-35-36-37 cm bind off 4 sts at each side of each marker for armholes = 58-64-70-78-85 sts remain on body. Lay piece aside and knit the sleeves. Sleeve: Cast on 40-40-40-50-50 sts on smaller double-pointed needles with 1 strand apple green Alpaca + 1 strand lime green Vivaldi (= 2 strands); join and place a marker at the join. Following Stripe Pattern for sleeve – see instructions above – K 1 row, then knit 10 cm in Rib. Change to larger double-pointed needles and reverse stockinette st (P all rows). When the piece measures 12 cm inc 1 st each side of marker every 5-3.5-3-5-4 cm a total of 7-9-10-7-8 times = 54-58-60-64-66 sts. When the piece measures 44 cm bind off 4 sts each side of marker = 46-50-52-56-58 sts. Lay piece aside and knit second sleeve. Yoke: Put the sleeves in on the same circular needles as Body where you bound off for armhole = 208-228-244-268-286 sts. Put a marker in each transition between Body and sleeve (= 4 markers). Continue in reverse stockinette st but K the 4 sts in each transition (2 sts each side of each marker), and shape raglan – see instructions below. Raglan shaping: Dec 1 st at each side of each marker = 8 decs per row – see knitting tips above. Dec every 4 rows 4-3-3-2-2 times, then every other row: 9-12-13-16-17 times. Neck: When the piece measures 45-47-49-51-53 cm put the center 18-20-24-28-33 sts on a st holder for the neck. Then bind off at each neck edge every other row 2 sts 1 time and 1 st 2 times. After all raglan and neck shaping is complete 78-80-84-88-93 sts remain on needles. Neckband: Pick up approx. 26-42 sts (incl. sts from st holder) in front neck with 1 strand periwinkle Safran + 1 strand mint Vivaldi. Put all sts on smaller double-pointed needles = approx. 104-135 sts; join and place a marker at the join. P 1 row (keep the 4 raglan sts in each transition in K sts as before). Then K 1 row, adjusting to 100-100-120-120-120 sts – inc 2 sts over every sleeve (= 20 sts between markers on each sleeve), then dec/inc evenly distributed over sts on front and back so that the number of sts between markers will be divisible by 10. Knit rib – but continue to K the 4 sts in each raglan transition. When the rib measures 4 cm dec all P 6 to P 5 = 90-90-108-108-108 sts. When the rib measures 6 cm bind off all sts in rib. Assembly: Sew opening under the sleeve. |
