Winter squares baby blanket - the pattern asks for 2 threads in it's knitting. Do you use two balls of wool to do this and does that mean that each ball is effectively just 25 g ? Thank you
27.12.2024 - 18:16DROPS Design answered:
Dear Patti, this blanket is knitted in DROPS Alpaca, which comes in 50 g balls. We need 100 g of each colour, i.e. 2 balls per colour. It is up to you whether you knit from both balls at once or knit them one by one and unwind the yarn at once from the surface and from the inside of the same ball. Happy knitting!

Mvh Dorrit

Hej Dorrit.

Can this blanket be made with one thread instead of two? If so, does it change the needle size and/or the gauge? Thanks.
16.03.2013 - 15:48DROPS Design answered:
Dear Ben, this blanket could be make with just 1 thread but everything should be adjust and recalculated to adapt. We do have some great blankets with just 1 thread Alpaca, just have a look with the help of the search engine. Happy knitting!

The pattern colors mentioned in the "explanation to pattern diagram" doesn't match the materials: the former says dark steel blue; light slate grey; light beige, light steel blue and off white; the latter says off white; light beige; dark steel blue; light grey-green and light steel blue. Looking at the picture, I assume the light grey-green is the correct color, not the light slate grey? Does this change the pattern?
31.03.2012 - 03:32DROPS Design answered:
Hi Debbie, chart is saying light gray green in both UK and US pattern. Are you in US looking at the UK version?
