How to assembly the stole in DROPS 166-45

In this DROPS video we show 2 different ways of assembling the Victorian Charm stole in DROPS 166-45. First, we show how we sew pieces together, cast-off edge against cast off edge to off edge, then we show how we sew pieces together with grafting/kitchener sts when the work is put on a thread / needle. How to sew a flounce edge to a garment with a lace pattern

In this DROPS video we show how to sew a flounce edge to a garment. Work from the wrong side, fasten the thread in a decrease in the lace pattern and then sew a stitch between the 2 outermost treble crochets on the flounce. Thread the strand back to the wrong side, * sew running stitch / straight stitch along the bottom edge of the lace pattern (do not sew in the flounce) as far as the next decrease in the lace pattern, take the needle around this decrease and then between the 6th and 7th treble crochets after the last time the flounce was fastened to the piece, thread the strand back to the wrong side *, repeat from *-*. It is important the seam is not tight as this will make the garment less elastic. We use the yarn DROPS Snow in the video. In this DROPS video we show how to do further assembly on the Memories blanket in DROPS 163-1. MORE ASSEMBLY: You have to work 26 circle squares in total, but we have only made five in this video. Place the squares to form a frame. Sew squares tog two by two with neat little stitches – sew edge to edge with one stitch in every dc and make sure to avoid a tight seam. Work 1 round with dc inside the frame (work 1 dc in every st). Place frame around the blanket and fasten dc-round on frame to edge with bobbles - sew edge to edge with neat little stitches and make sure to avoid a tight seam. How to weave in tails in ribbing

In this DROPS video we show how you can weave in tails in ribbing. Our sample on the video is a 2 by 2 ribbing. Always weave in your tails on the wrong side of your rib knitted piece. With the needle and yarn go to the first section of K sts, weave through each stitch diagonal for 5-7 sts, turn and go down through each st on the other side of the stitch. How to weave in cotton tails

In this DROPS video we show how you can weave in tails on your crochet or knitted project. When using a cotton yarn, especially when it's thicker, it can be tricky. The tails will show and also may come out again when washing and wearing. A great trick is to split the strand into multiple thinner strands and then sew these thinner strands away in different directions. This usually comes out invisible and will not come undone. Crochet tip for fastening strands

In this DROPS video we show how to avoid sewing many strands after colour change. Work the first 2 stitches at beginning of every row with new colour with double yarn (same colour). Then place yarn end along stitches from previous row and work around it so that the yarn end is hidden inside the stitches. In addition should the yarn end left at the end of row also be placed along the stitches when turning the piece to work around this yarn end as well. How to weave in ends when working a new colour in the round

In this DROPS video we show how you can weave in ends on your work. When knitting with multiple colors or when just changing from one to another color, you can weave in the end as you continue with the new color. When you start the new color you want to make sure to twist the loose end around your previous color to avoid a hole, then place the working yarn behind the tail, and pick up the yarn alternating above and under the tail end to weave it in. Weave for about 4-6 sts and then you can cut the remaining tail. This way you don't have to fasten the threads at the end. You must read the pattern to be able to follow.
