In this DROPS video we show how to sew or crochet the flowers square together for the Black Swan shawl in DROPS 125-3.

First, we show how to sew flower squares together, then we show how to crochet the squares together with double crochet (dc) and finally we show how crochet a border with dc around the entire shawl.

This shawl is made in DROPS Kid-Silk, but in the video we crochet with a thicker yarn, DROPS Snow.

In this DROPS video we show how you can crochet squares together with chain stitches and double crochet. Lay 2 squares together, wrong side to wrong side, and work through both layers like this: 1 double crochet around the chain stitches in the corner, * 4 chain stitches, skip 3 treble crochets (= treble crochet groups) and crochet 1 double crochet between 2 treble crochets groups, *, work from *-* up to and including the next corner, work 1 chain stitch (transition to the next 2 squares), work 1 double crochet around the corner on the next square. Work from *-* until the row has been worked together. Cut the strand, then work the squares together in width in the same way. We use the yarn DROPS Paris in the video. In this DROPS video, we show how we sew 2 bands together and then sew them to the neckline behind the neck. Sew the bands together with small stitches edge to edge so that there will not be a thick seam. Then sew the band to the back piece with small stitches in the band and invisible grafting/kitchener stitch on the back piece. We use the yarn DROPS Daisy and DROPS Kid-Silk in the video.
