In this DROPS video we show how you can weave in tails in garter stitch.

Always weave in your tails on the wrong side of your knitted garter stitch piece. With the needle and yarn follow the stitches sideways over 2 rows. Halfway through video we show you the same thing with a contrasting yarn to make it easier to follow.

As you can see with this method your weaved in tail will not show on your right side.

Hei Ida Nei, ingen knuter, men man må feste et stykke (må ikke feste med korte trådender). Strikker du i f.eks ullgarn, vill ullen filte seg noe sammen og holde. Ved bomullstråd kan du dele tråden i flere tråder og feste de som vist her: Hur man fäster bomullstrådar mvh DROPS Design

Bonjour Mme Bell, pour ce châle, vous commencez par 3 mailles et, après avoir tricoté les rangs 1 à 5, vous répétez les rangs 2 à 5, autrement dit, vous diminuez au début de chaque rang 3 et vous augmentez à la fin de chaque rang 3 (= le nombre de mailles reste le même), et vous augmentez 2 mailles à la fin de chaque rang 5. Répétez ces rangs jusqu'à ce qu'il y ait 200 mailles. Bon tricot!

Dear Mrs Eich, after you have weave in tails from WS, you can cut the yarn, make sure to have weaved several sts - as shown in the video - to secure your work. Happy knitting!

The tails will show and also may come out again when washing and wearing. In this DROPS video we show how you can weave in ends on your work. When knitting with multiple colors or when just changing from one to another color, you can weave in the end as you continue with the new color. When you start the new color you want to make sure to twist the loose end around your previous color to avoid a hole, then place the working yarn behind the tail, and pick up the yarn alternating above and under the tail end to weave it in.
