How to work a diagonal shoulder and how to work an icord bind off

In this DROPS video we show a technique how to get a diagonal shoulder with short rows. Then we show how to bind off the shoulder seam with an icord. Remember to read in the pattern for the correct stitch numbers. We use the yarn DROPS Snow in the video. You must read a pattern to be able to follow this video properly. DROPS Design :

Dear Heather, this will be done the same way, except that you will cast on the new sts at the end of row from WS then turn and cast off from RS as shown in the video (ie from armhole towards mid front/neck instead of from mid front/neck towards armhole). Happy knitting!

Hei Agnes. 1) Du får en fin rund og dekorativ kant, som ikke strammer. 2) Sy skuldersømmene innenfor den ytterste masken langs i-cord avfellingen (vi håper vi har en video som viser dette online snart). 3) Jo, det er det som er litt av poenget, gi plagget en flott detalje. Ønsker du ikke en i-cord avfelling, se om du kan ha en standard avfellingskant og en sammen sying på det plagget du strikker. mvh DROPS Design

In this DROPS video we show how we bind off with an i-cord edge in a piece worked in garter stitches / ridge stitches. In this DROPS video we show you how to bind off a work with i-cord loops. When binding off, * work an i-cord of approx. 6 cm = 2 3/8" (see explanation for i-cord below), knit the stitches from the i-cord along with the next 3 stitches on the swap *, repeat * - * entire row, bind off the 3 last stitches as a usually bind off. We have chosen a 3 stitches i-cord string approx. 6 cm = 2 3/8", but this one can you fine change as desired. I-cord cord: * Knit one row on double pointed needles. Slide row to other end of needle. Do not turn the work *, repeat *-*. We use the yarn DROPS Snow in the video.

How to work an I-cord edge while binding off.

In this DROPS video we show how we work an I-cord edge while we're binding off. Cast on 4 new stitches on right needle from WS, turn piece. Use another knitting needle if you wish. * Knit 3 stitches, the next 2 stitches are knitted twisted together. Put these 4 stitches back to the left needle *. Repeat from *-* the entire round and bind off. Sew together cast on and bind off edge. We use the yarn DROPS Snow in the video.

How to bind off with i-cord binding off.

In this DROPS video we show how to bind off with i-cord binding off that is for example, used in the shawl in DROPS 190-15. Work and bind off as follows: * Knit 2 stitches, the next 2 stitches are knitted twisted together. Push the 3 stitches from the right needle back onto the left needle (in the same order) *, repeat from *-* until all stitches on the left needle have been cast off and there are 3 stitches left on the right needle. Push the stitches onto the left needle and bind them off with knit. This shawl is crocheted in DROPS Flora, but in the video we work with a thicker yarn; DROPS Snow. Finish your work with a nice looking, elastic, rounded edge. Perfect for afghans, top down hats, toe up socks etc. Make 2 new sts at beg of row (in video we are using cable cast on), then: * K2, K2 tog in back loops, move three sts on right needle back to left needle* - repeat *-*.
